Alan is very untrustworthy and stabbed us in the back

We hired Alan to shoot several homes with our cabinetry in the early 2000's. We needed these photos to create our brochures and for our website. Alan gave us full rights to some of them, but to our surprise some of them he did not. He sold the rights on the ones he did not give us the right to to some copyright attorneys. We had shared these photos with many of our dealers for advertising of our products on their sites. Many of our dealers have been threatened and harrassed by these copyright attorneys for many years now and it has been a very negative experience for all involved.
Be certain to get the full rights to any work done by him or he will come back and haunt you!

I regret that Mr. Motzkus chose to leave such a deceptive and negative review despite having been fully informed of my copyright and licensing terms on every quotation, invoice and delivery memo. An excellent experience!

We recently hired Alan to shoot a high-end residential property for us. He did an amazing job at capturing the essence of the project from different angels and the use of his drone was exemplary! We'd highly recommend his talent to anyone looking fora great photographic experience and product.

Missed oppurtunities

The company has great communication skills, we knew the plan the whole time. What we are somewhat disappointed in is the final release of images. Several had poor "set ups" and there were clearly some opportunities for a good piture that got missed.

A review of the facts is in order in response to Robert Algiere's online "sucker punch."

1. Mr. Algiere failed to provide the promised shot list for this hotel property (Tulsa Hilton Doubletree at Warren Place) prior to the photoshoot as previously agreed.
2. Despite being assured that the property was photo-ready by Mr. Algiere, we arrived to find that active construction was still ongoing throughout the hotel, and many areas were impossible to photograph.
3. Although Algiere had promised to be on-site personally for the photoshoot, however, he canceled at the last minute and put us in touch with his construction supervisor for site coordination. It was obvious that the photoshoot was not a high priority for Algiere's supervisor, given the state of the property, and we received very little help from him and his crew.
4. I requested a teleconference with Algiere since he chose not to attend the photoshoot, hoping to define what shots were essential given the active construction and condition of the property. Algiere was dismissive of many suggestions, stating that they, "Weren't really a big deal."
5. I'm not sure what Algiere means by "set ups," but perhaps he's referring to the fact that virtually NONE of the areas were ready for photography and required extensive furniture moving and re-arranging on the part of myself and my wife.
6. The one-day, 8 hour photoshoot that Algiere was quoted and paid for was in fact TWO DAYS of photography. The first day starting at 3:00 AM and ending at 11:30 PM. The second day was six hours of photography throughout the day. All of this was due to the extensive "set ups" that we did so as not to have this photoshoot be a complete failure.
7. The tension between the hotel management and Algiere's construction company complicated matters significantly, and I was caught in the middle of this. However, I was able to win over the hotel management and they then offered much greater cooperation and help than Algiere's company did in making this photoshoot a success.
8. Even though Algiere is "disappointed" in my final photographs, The Hilton Doubletree Tulsa chose to license my photographs for their own marketing use in favor of the existing photography previously supplied by Hilton.

I'm not sure what Algiere's motivation was for this review, however, it is both inaccurate and unfair. After 35 years of producing high-end photography for satisfied clients throughout the United States, I'm still taken aback by this review. Robert Algiere--you're fired.
