I placed my order with Al-Layth on 7 August and paid extra for next-day delivery because I specifically needed the shorts for a holiday abroad.
The order was dispatched on 8 August, but Al-Layth later admitted that they had mistakenly sent it using Royal Mail Tracked 48 instead of the next-day service I paid for.
The parcel did not arrive before my holiday. I had to repeatedly chase for updates, and although the next-day delivery charge was refunded, I was told they would not refund the actual order while Royal Mail still showed it as being in transit. This meant I was left with no item and no refund, despite the delivery error not being my fault.
What made things worse was that on 27 August I was told a replacement was being sent and that new tracking details would follow. After chasing again, Al-Layth later admitted that the replacement had never actually been sent.
The original parcel was finally delivered on 2 September — almost four weeks after I placed the order on 7 August, despite paying for next-day delivery.
Royal Mail delays can happen, and mistakes can happen. My main issue is how the situation was handled afterwards: repeated chasing, poor communication, refusal to refund while I had no goods, and being told a replacement was being sent when it had not been.
I chose Al-Layth because I wanted to support a Muslim-owned business and expected a high standard of fairness, honesty and customer care. Unfortunately, my experience did not reflect that.
Their final communication was more transparent and acknowledged the mistakes, which I appreciate, but it should not have taken this long or required this much chasing.

Top tier service! They really go out their way to help you with your order. Have bought from them in the past and will continue doing so in the future. The service has always been the best with quick delivery too. I like the Omani thobes in particular but all thobes ive bought have been made very well with high quality fabric. The best experience!

I ordered off here for my son. He wanted a blue thobe for eid. The delivery came within 2 days and it is absolutely beautiful.
