I backed the Airback Flex on Kickstarter, and my first experience with it has been very positive. On my first Ryanair trip, I saved roughly £100 on baggage fees, which was a great start.

It’s ideal for short trips as hand luggage. That said, in all honesty, you’re unlikely to pack for more than about four days. I was also a bit surprised by the vacuum feature—it doesn’t seem to compress beyond roughly 50%, but it certainly makes a noticeable difference.

All in all, I’d happily recommend this bag.

Me comunique con el soporte de Airback y de inmediato me respondieron diciendome que la paqueteria habia iniciado una investigación, me dieron la opción de enviar sin costo un nuevo pedido mientras terminaba la investigación y les dije que si.

Service provided by the team is truly commendable, although the purchase didn't go as planned because I'm from India. Instead of these circumstances they replied every problem within minutes that is some top notch service I've ever seen from any company.

Avevo chiesto assistenza per un difetto su un articolo ordinato (per fortuna era un falso allarme). Segnalato il fatto, lo staff mi ha risposto nel giro di neanche 12 ore. Servizio efficientissimo. Riguardo lo zaino, non l’ho ancora provato. Mi sembra ottimo anche se lo immaginavo più leggero; al momento sono soddisfatta, mi riserverò di scrivere altra recensione in futuro.

The Flex has to be the least functional bag I’ve bought. Wished it matched the hype.

I misunderstood when I made my purchase and believed my airback came with the pump included since there’s a picture of it in the description so when my airback came to my house without the pump I was really disappointed and wrote my experience to the customers service and they wrote me back very quick and with a solution! I’m very happy, thank you!!

What a fantastic way of travelling with a lot of luggage without paying any additional airline fees! We went on a 5 day trip with the two of us and took the Airback Flex and Airback Original with us. No extra fees, no hassle, all our clothes with us. Great!

The backpack looks smart and vacuum function works but it does not fit in the Ryanair hand luggage box when filled and been charged twice since purchasing. Nice idea but doesn’t fulfill the requirement unfortunately

Ich habe leider eine sehr ähnliche Erfahrung gemacht wie viele andere hier.
Den Rucksack musste ich aus Zeitgründen direkt auf einer Reise verwenden – dabei hat sich schnell gezeigt, dass er deutlich weniger Platz bietet als beworben. Zusätzlich ist der Rucksack selbst bereits so schwer, dass man ihn kaum sinnvoll beladen kann, ohne schnell an Gewichtslimits zu kommen. Das macht den eigentlichen Zweck eines „Carry-On“-Rucksacks fragwürdig.
Besonders enttäuschend: Bereits beim ersten Gebrauch ist der Reissverschluss kaputt gegangen.
Auf meine Rückmeldung hin wurde mir lediglich erklärt, dass das Gewicht auf die „hochwertigen Materialien“ zurückzuführen sei. Das Material wirkt zwar stabil – bringt jedoch wenig, wenn dadurch die Nutzbarkeit eingeschränkt wird und der Reissverschluss dieser Qualität offensichtlich nicht standhält.
Ich wollte den Rucksack ausdrücklich zurückgeben und nicht behalten. Eine Rückgabe bzw. Gutschrift wurde mir jedoch verweigert. Stattdessen wurde mir einfach ein neuer Rucksack zugeschickt – ohne dass mein eigentliches Anliegen gelöst wurde.
Ich hatte zudem auch Zubehör bestellt (z. B. ein Necessaire), und hier zeigt sich das gleiche Problem: wenig Platz, dafür unnötig sperrig und schwer.
Positiv hervorheben möchte ich, dass der Kundenservice sehr schnell reagiert hat. Allerdings wurde auf meine Anliegen nicht wirklich eingegangen. Dass man nicht einmal den defekten Rucksack zurückhaben wollte, hat mich besonders erstaunt – gerade im Hinblick darauf, mögliche Schwachstellen am Produkt zu analysieren und zu verbessern.
Stattdessen entsteht für mich der Eindruck, dass mehr in Marketing als in Produktqualität und Kundenzufriedenheit investiert wird. Ob das langfristig die richtige Strategie ist, bleibt fraglich.
Schlimmer noch: Ich sitze nun auf einem kaputten Rucksack, einem neuen, noch originalverpackten Ersatz sowie auf unnötigem Zubehör – und habe keinerlei Verwendung dafür.
Insgesamt bin ich sehr unzufrieden und kann das Produkt auf keinen Fall empfehlen.
