I had an issue with my 5 year old AIMS…

I had an issue with my 5 year old AIMS Inverter (Model No: PICOGLF30W24V120VR) where the AIMS would no longer kick into charging the batteries when the generator was running. Within 24hrs., another issue started where the inverter shuts down anytime it is given a load that exceeds approx. 1KW and then displays no LED's being lit with only a continuous beep so I reached out to the AIMS Tech. Support. Angel Cruz promptly got back to me to help me troubleshoot my system and gave me an option to fix it by purchasing some parts that were potentially at the end of their life cycle, in particular the capacitors. I ended up installing an old Outback inverter that a friend had laying around but will probably rebuild that old AIMS with a new control board and power board as mine are apparently shot due to age and or corrosion. Well, at least I got a good five years out of it living right next to the ocean in Hawaii.

Angle Was Patient

Angel was patient, very knowledgeable and spent all the time necessary over several days to diagnose an AIMS battery and inverter. It is now working perfectly. I will replace the 12-year-old AIMS battery with a new AIMS battery for continued superior performance.

Successful repair of 4000 watt inverter/charger

I worked with Mr. Angel Cruz to diagnose and fix the issue with my 4000 watt inverter/charger that unfortunately was out of warranty. Mr. Cruz quickly diagnosed and recommended the fix. I asked for and he sent an invoice for the boards I needed. The boards were delivered quickly.
I chose to install the boards myself. Mr. Cruz's gave me advice on the procedure to install the boards. I was able to install the boards and fix the inverter/charger. I tested the AC input, the AC output, battery charger and inverter and all are now working fine.
Thank you Mr. Cruz and AIMS for helping me fix my issue.

Our inverter in our RV caught fire

Our inverter in our RV caught fire, luckily we caught it in time. I called every inverter company on line. 25% didn't even know what inverter I would need for my rv. I got a call back the next day from aims power. The girl I talked to knew exactly the one I needed and found me a refurbished one for less then half of what the original one was. Sent me a link to purchase it. The shipping said 5 to 10 days . I got it the very next day. Waiting for the electrician to come to install it. It didn't come with instructions or a user manual so I'm not touching it.

Excellent tech support

I wish I had talked to Angel before I purchased another inverter that turned out not to work for my application. Specifically, I needed an inverter that supports bonding of the neutral to ground. The one I bought doesn't support that, and the equipment that I was trying to power with it wouldn't work.

Angel immediately understood my problem and recommended an AIMS inverter that has N/G bonding, and solved my problem. If you have an inverter question, ask Angel!
