Extremely Poor Support & Broken Verification System – Service Down Even After Payment
I am extremely disappointed with my recent experience with Agora. My project was automatically archived when credits ran out, and when I tried to restore it, the system kept giving “Invalid OTP” no matter how many times I tried. I attempted every troubleshooting method (different browsers, incognito, clearing cache, multiple OTPs), but nothing worked.
I reached out to support, but instead of resolving the OTP issue, they insisted that they had emailed me earlier. I never received any email, and when I contacted the person directly, I got an out-of-office auto-reply. This created even more delays while my app remained down.
I then purchased an additional 25,000 RTC minutes, hoping this would restore the project. Shockingly, the credits showed as already used immediately after purchase—even though my project was still archived and I hadn’t consumed any new minutes.
This billing behavior is unacceptable. Paid credits should not be deducted instantly without restoring the service. My application has over 100 active users, and it has been offline for days simply because Agora’s verification and account restoration process is broken.
Support is extremely slow, keeps redirecting, and has not provided any practical solution despite repeated follow-ups. My project is still inaccessible, and my paid credits haven’t been applied properly.
Agora really needs to fix their OTP verification, restore projects promptly, and provide reliable customer support. Right now, the experience has been frustrating, confusing, and highly unprofessional.
I cannot recommend Agora based on this experience.
