Aeroporto di Catania - Sicilia Omdömen 

Fino al check in tutto perfetto. Al controllo troviamo signora molto arrogante ed aggressiva per due borracce d'acqua da svuotare immediatamente mentre altri potevano entrare liberamente. Mai più aeroporto di Catania. Assolutamente da evitare oltretutto disorganizzatissimo.

Tourists, be aware when leaving Catania!

Apparently at the airport, staff have strong interests in opening all your luggages and keeping your belongings despite they are allowed to be boarded.
Probably they don’t earn much.

Se potessi metterei zero stelle, stamattina mio figlio diciassettenne è partito per Milano con la sua canoa, abbiamo sbagliato il biglietto per la canoa e nn la volevano imbarcare, anziché prendersi 20€ di differenza, hanno chiesto 70€, mio figlio ha dato 100€,gli è stato risposto che nevokevano 70 esatti, lo hanno costretto a comprare una bibita.. Fanno pena, solo qui esistono queste cose. L aeroporto che non torna il resto.

An unimaginable nightmare.
The Jet2 ground staff are pathetic !
After a delay on our flight last Saturday back to Birmingham, there was mis information, confusion and downright lies from Jet2 personnel.
With the exception of Elio, who was at least human and faced up to the issues where his colleagues h as absconded, the night descended into chaos with the scrambling of busses to far away hotels for the night.
A fact that there were children and elderly passengers on board seemed to escape the view from other jet2 ground staff.
The next day rescheduled flight could not have come soon enough.
Don’t travel with Jet2 and DEFINITELY don’t go to Catania !!

Terminal C - Pessimo. C'è un solo bar poco fornito (personale molto gentile). Non ci sono negozi per l'acquisto di piccoli souvenir. Pochi posti a sedere.

Baffling to see this is still classed as an airport and not commended as the laughably kafka-esque performance piece it is, with an almost artistic level of halfassery and apathy demonstrated by the staff.
Our flight (Jet2*nowhere*) operated by a third party arrived at 11:35pm, and, whilst we were awaiting any information as to whether we were actually going to get back to the UK that night, it transpired that our hopes were cut much shorter, as the runway closes at 12 midnight, assumedly for Italian reasons. We were boarded none the less at 21:50, and stood on the gangway for 2hrs until commons sense overtook us and we realised the airport crew were fecklessly inept and deboarded ourselves, to the irritation of the 13yr old chap seemingly running the Sicilian operations of Jet2 with the cautious precision of a hammer welding chimp in a china shop.
This began a further 3hr ordeal, running after airport rep after airport rep, reminiscent of Alice in Wonderland (although heavy hallucinogenics would have made the experience atleast somewhat interesting and comprehensible) all the while requests for information on the next step in the process were ignored, laughed or shrugged off as "Not their issue".
Again, collective sense prevailed when, as we were given our local hotel booking and information on bus transfer after waiting a further 3hrs in a dimly-lit-now-closed airport front terminal, the Titanic-like approach to organising priority of transferees became something of a dystopian scene from the exodus of a failing state, atleast Titanic crew were trained to a minimum standard and had the sense to let the frail and children board refuge first (we had 2 of the group 75+ and diabetic, having not eaten for 4hrs). Again, Catania staff were predictably indifferent and willfully ignorant of this, possibly because every passenger needing medical transfer, would be one less hassle for their overworked Saturday night.
The hotel actually existed (to the shock of all on the bus), the rooms and staff were pleasant and the breakfast welcomed, however, not a decent espresso in sight, but that's a small critique in this
So here we are. A day late, 600miles from destination and waiting a repeat of yesterday.
One recommendation: Fly to Palermo and book a transfer, or avoid Jet2 AT ALL COSTS.

Non riesco a trovare un termine per la gestione di questo importante aeroporto. Spazi stretti, terminal C improvvisato. Prezzi alle stelle. Non esiste un dispenser gratuito per l'acqua ma la devi pagare 1,90 (mezzo litro) se va bene. Bagni fatiscenti stile anni 80 autostrada SA-RC. Il personale alla sicurezza e specialmente al gate ha dei criteri bizzarri riguardo al bagaglio. Ti controllano la grandezza dello zainetto ma in compenso ti lasciano passare borse con cannoli, ricotta e paste di mandorla comprate fuori. Ci mancano solo le cassette di arance. Ho sentito le lamentele del personale di bordo che fa i miracoli per mettere le cibarie nelle cappelliere. Strade di accesso al terminal perennemente intasate di auto ferme che aspettano parenti.

Terminale C..... sporco, nn ci sn posti a sedere, bagni in pessimo stato.. tutti ammucchiati... inoltre nn c'è nulla se no un bar con 4 scelte... attesa di 3 ore ritardo volo... si è prigionieri...

È già la seconda volta che ci fanno aspettare un ora nel tunnel prima di salire sull’aereo al caldo senza aria condizionata e senza spiegazioni .
RIUSCIAMO AD ACCENDERE IL CERVELLO?
Dicono che Catania sia la Milano del sud a vedere la gestione dell’aeroporto direi che somiglia di più al Burkina Fasu.

Viaggio da sempre e quello di Catania è ed è rimasto il peggiore aeroporto oserei dire di Italia

Gente inesperta, ignorante ed eccessivamente arrogante ai controlli Terminal C!!! Attrezzature del medioevo.

Terminal c assurdo un solo bar posti a sedere insufficienti insomma uno schifo

Indecente. Centinaia di persone in attesa in piedi per mancanza di posti a sedere dentro il terzo aeroporto italiano per traffico aereo....

Si perdono i bagagli provenienti da Bologna , stiamo aspettando più di un ora e nessuno sa darci delle risposte . Vergogna .

Proprio ieri mi è successo uno spiacevole inconveniente al gate di ryaner direzione Cagliari mi hanno fatto pagare 17€ per un posto a sedere che a me non risultava avendo fatto il ceckin gratis 24h e la cosa che mi ha fatto arrabbiare di più è che se non pagavo non potevo imbarcarmi mai più viaggiaro con questa compagnia

È inammissibile fare fila di 1 ora per controlli persona!!!! Siamo a standard da quarto mondo. Mai più volo su Catania

Mentre la politica di dibatte a chi ruba di più , l aeroporto di CTA rimane uno dei peggiori d Europa direi in fondo alla classifica oercsevuzi , per perdonale incompetente .
Sarebbe tutto da rifare dalla A alla Z e dovrebbe essere gestito da professionisti non da balordi !

Resta il peggior aeroporto in cui ci si possa imbattere in Europa: una gestione da dilettanti a tutti i livelli. È anche difficile fare una recensione puntuale; partite da come immaginate debba essere l’aeroporto ideale e fate l’esatto contrario.
È un peccato la destinazione turistica così importante come la Sicilia debba avere un collettore così infimo.

Bruttissima esperienza, con le nuove regole di Ryanair e gli steward dell’imbarco a Catania arrivano a far pagare un biglietto come un viaggio di prima classe. Abbiamo fatto il check-in 40 minuti prima della partenza programmata per le h.8.35 , per i controlli ci hanno trattenuto leggermente più del previsto. Abbiamo guardato il tabellone dove veniva segnalato l’imbarco al n. 18 , nel cartellone non era stata segnalata l’ultima chiamata dei 20 minuti prima ,visto l’orario h8.05. Quando siamo arrivati per l’overboocking abbiamo già trovato le porte chiuse , abbiamo chiamato i due operatori al quale ci hanno risposto che ormai tutta la gente era a bordo , proprio mentre si stava discutendo con il personale abbiamo visto il portellone dell’aereo chiudersi e la scala allontanarsi , alle h. 8.18 l’aereo a cominciato a fare le manovre di decollo , partendo anticipatamente , in tutto questo tempo l’ultima chiamata non è stata fatta . Ci hanno obbligato a riprendere i biglietti . Stando in aeroporto tutto il pomeriggio ho potuto notare che non aprono le porte nel tempo prestabilito , non fanno l’annuncio , è finita la fila chiudono le porte . Dunque bisogna stare in attesa all’imbarco anche per 40 minuti , per non rischiare di perdere il volo .

I felt comfortable and welcomed at Catania airport, it is very big and the staff is kind and helpful. Thank you for the wonderful holiday
