Not sure what to think. Made an appointment to check current set-up (new flat), as I thought there was 'no signal' from the aerial points. Thought there was no aerial in the loft perhaps. The service engineer checked one aerial point; I heard activity but he said it was too loud. He went into the loft, and there actually was an aerial, but he said it was an analogue aerial, and I now needed a digital aerial. I know that this is a wrong argument - there is no such thing as a 'digital aerial'; the old wideband (transmitted within 21 - 65 UHF) can provide perfectly adequate digital Freeview TV signal, for example. (There are, of course, different types of new aerials...) A greater issue is, perhaps, the location of the aerial since 2012. I told him how it is then that, in my previous property, I had an aerial installed in the loft in 1987 (analogue TV at the time), and in 2012 I had bought new digital TV's, plugging them in but neither replaced the cables nor the aerial in the loft. It had worked as before. He was not happy me saying this, and he said he could just give me a quote and leave but would charge £150 + VAT for this. As I did not want to go through all this again, I wanted whatever needed doing done (so-to-speak), though not being sure what this would be. He quoted the job to be £225 + VAT. I accepted it because I wanted it sorted, but I felt at the time it was on the high side. Looking at Checkatrade's cost guide, it certainly is.
(BTW, he also replaced a secondary aerial point with a new one). (Funnily enough, this company is also a member of Checkatrade).
This was not even a new TV aerial installation but a replacement... I found the service engineer a bit patronising (he did not mean to be, I am sure), but this happened a lot years/decades ago when tradesmen encountered women and proceeded to behave as though we don't know our own properties (I am not referring to their speciality trade now, but them communicating as though we don't know anything.)
The service engineer was also not too Covid mindful - he tried to be but wasn't, pushing his mask down and up again, touching the front surface of it, huffing and puffing, sometimes coughing a bit, holding his hand in front of it, then touching everything else again.
Later, he stressed the '1-year guarantee'. Well, aerials could be good for 20 years....
Am very unsure about this experience; only sure it was not a very happy one.

Very poor service in the Harrogate area.
Arranged an appointment only to receive a phone call after the appointed time to advise that the engineer had been delayed and would not be coming.
Re-arranged the following day and same happened.
My advice is to look elsewhere.

Fantastic service from start to finish! I was able to get an appointment the very next day and Jason, the engineer, was an absolute star. He exchanged the aerial in no time and went above and beyond to provide the best service. He was also a fountain of knowledge and was so kind as to answer my many questions regarding the aerial. I am a property developer and I shall definitely ring up Aerial Services for my next project. Highly recommend!

Had an aerial installed a couple of years ago and thought there was a problem so got in touch. Came out the next day, arrived in good time, had a really good look about and were able to put my mind at rest that my memory was playing up more than the aerial.
Really approachable, efficient and good quality customer service. Would recommend.

Great service from the engineer (Jamie Garvin) this morning. He understood the Sky TV connection issue and repaired the fault without a problem. Friendly service from the job bookers (John and Chris)

If I could give them less than one star I would. Completely unhelpful, arrogant and incompetent. Failed to follow instructions and ended up installing cables in wrong places. Another time they visited and the tech left prematurely to get something but never returned. Some of the equipment they installed didn't even work properly. Took them to small claims court and won. Says it all. Avoid.
