I am extremely dissatisfie
I am extremely dissatisfied. I was seen about 2:30 for my Friday 1:00 appointment for a Mohl's procedure. I should have known that there was not enough time for more than one slice/evaluate procedure at that time of day, but I carried on. The initial biopsy scab was approximately 1/16" -18" across and the doctor said that the scar would fall in the crease of my nose, being unnoticeable. The Mohl's procedure took a chunk from my face the size of a dime, verified by the attending nurse. As Dr. Shulz was stitching the opening closed I asked some questions, including what was the thing in my mouth, which was his finger. He told me to be quiet, I talked too much. Monday, I called to report that I was having difficulty cleaning the incision with a cotton ball, as instructed. The stitches projecting from the incision snagged on the cotton making it impossible to wipe the blood away. I was told very emphatically that I had no stitches. I replied that I did indeed have stitches sticking out along the incision. Again I was told that I HAD NO STITCHES! It must be hair. So I went to the surgery center where a very nice nurse (all the nursing staff were very nice, very helpful) trimmed the stitches close to the incision. Now, 8 weeks post op, the scar runs down my cheek, there is a large white knot at the base of my nose and the area is very red. I have an appointment with a plastic surgeon to see what can be done about this.

I have been coming to your facility for about 8 years. The wait times to be seen for an appointment is getting better but is far from being where it should be. Waiting in the outer office and then waiting on an inner office is still way to long.
Resident physician should identify his position
The staff and drs. were very nice but I was a little disturbed that the initial Dr. who came in to see me was a Resident, which he did not disclose to me, as well as the fact he was the son of the said physician. The only way I knew was because the medical assistant mentioned it to me earlier. Being retired from the medical field, I am quite familiar with "residency". I had an appt. to see a physician who had completed his education...not a resident. The practicing physician did come in before the procedures were done and I WAS ASKED if I objected to Jr.,doc doing them. I said it was okay, but realistically I was not happy about it. I felt that if I said no, there would be bad feelings created, and that would not have been pleasant for anyone. Things turned out fine, but I felt that I was put in an awkward position and should have been told by the jr. Doc when he came in and introduced himself, that he was a resident.

Everytime I have an appointment I wonder what will be frozen or cut and am naturally nervous. The professionalism of staff is wonderful and makes me feel comfortable. Have been a patient for many years and will continue in the future.

It's a pleasure to go to an appointment and be seen on time. Not only to be seen on time but, have such a friendly staff that makes you feel welcome. Dr. Stephen W. Eubanks, is very engaging and makes the patient feel relaxed but in good, knowledgeable, hands!
