Back story: a local commercialista told me I didn’t have to file taxes. I was happy to hear that! But I started to see alternative information online and this nagged at me. Finally, I found Mr. Bolla’s book Italian Taxes Made Easy: A simple and effective guide to make taxes affordable in Italy. Then I was frightened! And I was so embarrassed that I had neglected this topic while preparing for our move to Italy. In the next month he collected the necessary information from me, created my return, and patiently advised me numerous times. Every few days I had new information or questions. I was worried sick until he reassured me and gave me my tax amount. What relief! I have advised several of my friends to consult with him before making any decisions (big or small-seeming) about their moves to Italy.
