Paid 5K for a van and they was taking…

Paid 5K for a van and they was taking mine as part ex. Many failed promises when the van would be ready. I decided to not go ahead with the purchase and we agreed they would return my 5k. This hasn't materialised now going down the debt recover route.
Their website has also disappeared and the accounts at companies how are a year over due. Use the electoral roll to find the home address of Elliot Bansal.

Purchased a van from A37 last year

Purchased a van from A37 last year, after a long wait to get the van it broke down after doing 47 miles. They eventually took it back to repair under the extended warranty I purchased with them. It was agreed they would re sell the van and refund me what I had paid. The van sold, I still have the original V5 and a spare key but no refund! Months of empty promises and lies. I have ended up going through the small claims court where the owner agreed to pay the money by 8/3/26, still no money!! AVOID DEALING WITH THIS COWBOY COMPANY

Dreadful aftercare

Still waiting for my log book slip 11 Months Later. Haven’t been able to tax my Van .Still waiting for my spare Key that was promised . At first lots of promises to get it to my documents to me , they then added some tax then suddenly sorn the vechile X2 without notice , I was thus driving illegally. Then stopped answering my calls emails to resolve the matter. Has Sorn my vechile again . Had to involve the police , They don’t care . Now off to court . I have a van I cannot use..

We bought a vauxhall vario van from A37 vans took it home and had a problem with dpf fliter we spoke to james and was told to bring it in to them to look at they found the problem and fixed it.

We bought a vauxhall vivario van from a37 vans collected van took it away it find a problem with .Spoke with James and was told to take it back to them to look at, the problem was extensive, but they were second to none. The problem had been further up the buying chain, but a37 sorted everything and even started the warranty again from when we re picked up the van. Dealt with elliott the owner he explained and showed us everything. Couldnt ask for a better after care service. Even offerered to pay for a hire van while ours was out of action.

Very good service. Very accommodating

A37 vans were Very accommodating and polite. Very easy to discus getting finance options if needed. I purchased a transit van I wanted/ was interested in. Salesman really helpful. Had light come on on the dash so called up and they said to bring it back the same day, I went in and was an easy process and was all sorted out within the hour. Went in to see the guys about , getting a van couldn’t have been more helpful ,

Was shown number of vans , and we decided on one , we paid then van was serviced and new mot put on van , we were also offered to put cambelt on our van , at cost price we took up this offer , and the whole experience couldn’t have been better thanks guys

Purchase your vehicles from somewhere else if I was you!

We were looking for a van to add to the company, we purchased a tipper truck from A37 vans literally a week ago and now we are having to get the cambelt done and God knows what else is wrong with it.
Why not try and do the work to the vehicles you have before you sell them on, instead of selling them to people who spend thousands, only to have to go and spend more of their money on them to make them drivable, we now have to be without the van while the work is being done which just adds to the crap situation.
Once we had paid the money he said we can’t pick it up yet because he needs to get it up on the ramps to see what needs doing to it and then back tracked, why would you not do this before you put it up for sale! Then you could price it accordingly to what needs doing or do the work so it’s fit for sale. Proper con artist!
He’s not even using a business page on Facebook, just a normal profile so it saves him getting all the crap reviews on there, what does that tell you!

Wish we had read the reviews first, wait for the shitty unprofessional reply too!

In response to your reply, I’m not sure why you don’t understand my thought process, you took payment IN FULL from us and only then do you decide to have a look at what is wrong with the van, how is that right? You should be telling people the issues BEFORE you take all of their money, you didn’t tell us that the cambelt and water pump were gone you just said do you want to get it done.
If we had been told before we purchased it that it had issues we wouldn’t have bought it, you just take peoples money and then let them deal with the issues after and don’t care.
Alarm bells were ringing when we showed up to collect it and you had taken it to the shop to get yourself food probably to try and warm it up so we didn’t notice the noise.
By that point anyway we would have lost our £1000 deposit as you clearly state with your sign in your office the people won’t get it back once they have paid it.
You were rang and told before today that it was making noise and you just fobbed us off so don’t act like you would have helped us, you are just a typical dodgy car dealer.
As for ways to conduct yourself, I’ve been reading your responses to people’s bad reviews and maybe you should take a look at how you conduct yourself as a company and also set up your Facebook page as a business page like you are suppose to so people can review you.
You are going to get people angry when you’ve taken thousands of pounds and had them over!
Maybe in the future be honest in what issues a vehicle has before someone has paid you, just because you don’t want to spend your money on having vehicles checked over before hand and just let your customers suffer after instead to save yourself money.

No matter what you say, you should have told us BEFORE we paid you what needed doing NOT after, END OF!
Very bad business practice! Try harder next time and you might not get so many bad reviews!

Hi not understanding the thought process here? During the workshop check and service we advised it would be a good time to change the cambelt and water pump and offered to do this at cost price which you declined via what’s app.Now we received a call after a week of ownership demanding it to be replaced and have been threatening to get it replaced or will come to site and will attack the sales chap .Once all this starts do you really expect us to help you really? There is a way to conduct yourself and this is not how to do it.

In response to your reply ….

We was advising you about cambelt based on age .The vehicle has always been running fine .You opted to not have it replaced at a cost price as a preventative measure. Now your complaining Iit’s part of motoring for us to advise you what we think will future proof your purchase and again you chose not to proceed with the cambelt replacement. Everything is clearly stated on your invoice regarding the cambelt it is down to yourself. If the cambelt had failed it would not be running also.

Dangerous van

Sold a dangerous van, perished tyres, major oil leak from injectors, cables and pipes disconnected, black water as oil, broken engine mount and an insecure roof rack but had a completely clean MOT with no advisories!! How strange? Lied to when I took it back, as next to useless and they new my kids would be in it!! Disgusted at their conduct, cost me thousands. Good luck if you are buying a van from them......get it checked . Van was bought in 2022 and I have the receipt, they do like to deny selling it to me.

Hi your name is clearly spelt differently on invoice hence we couldn't find you on system.

You purchased the van in 2022 and a year later and over 8k miles of use after purchase some perishable rubber tyres failed a mot and a exhaust bracket had broken .Bit of common sense goes a long way 🤦‍♂️ WEAR AND TEAR ON A 13 YEAR OLD VAN

3 years later we receive a review complaining

Outstanding service

I brought a van from a37 vans in December 24. At the end of August 25 My van broke down.
I got it towed back to A37 and Elliott sorted the problem it was the starting motor.
It was under warranty . Elliott replaced the starting motor without charge. What a fabulous service . I can't rate them high enough. Excellent.

Replacement engine!

Had my van 6 months, radiator failed causing it to cook the engine, spoke to A37 vans they helped me out by fitting a replacement engine with minimal cost to myself!

Best place to buy a van!

Totally relaxed purchase of our new van. The guys at A37 Vans were knowledgeable, non-pushy and chilled. The van has been great although one of the dead-locks failed soon after we picked it up. James from A37 sorted that for immediately and on-site in Bristol! Amazing!

If you are looking for a new van use these guys. 100%....

Bought the van in July 2024
Told them of faults, Central locking was not working so told to “Slam the doors, its a common fault”.refused to do anything but they sent a video on how to fix it myself, not the issue anyway. They said it was a 20min job. I was prepared to take the van to them to sort the reported issues,but I couldn't wait while they fixed it (wanted me to do 2 x 8 hour round trips)
We rejected the van, in writing, within 30 days of purchase due to faults (Sale of goods act) over £2k estimate to repair. After the letter of rejection they wanted to fix a few of the issues but not all, they offered to pay a return rail ticket (just buying time to over run the 30 day limit for rejection). Too little too late.
They refused to accept the rejection, other than stating “take us to court we never loose” .I don't think they realised that they didn't have a choice about the sale of goods act!
Ignored Credit card company calls and letter.
Their checklist of checked items did not match reality.
They don't have mechanical knowledge just BS.
Sold with aircon, guess what …. it's not working and not covered. Don't mind its not a warranty item but should be working at point of sale or they should have pointed out the defect.
23 July 2024 … 87,410 miles ... no advisories … MOT supplied by A37Vans.( made a point of telling us that the MOT was undertaken by an independent MOT tester ) Seems a strange thing to say , but not with hind sight!
We decided to have our own independent MOT test done ... 10 September 2024 … 87,740 miles … now has advisories. Retested after only 300 miles …. seems likely … NOT!
29 July 2015 119,662 miles .. mileage discrepancy on a warranted mileage vehicle!!
Simply MOT history check showed issues and mileage issue, so they either lied about issues or didn't check.

Credit card company told us to dispose of the Van to webuyanyvan and they would pay the shortfall. Webuy wouldn't touch it, it was that bad, yet A37 knew nothing about any issues, says a lot! Scraped an £8k van for £350 ... that is what the true van value was.
They seemed a good company so took them at their word that it was a good van. Good job for Sale of goods Act and Credit card deposit.
A37 will probably say they need more details but I think you will find A37, all the details you need are above! How about answering the issues and not blaming others, or asking for further details!!

The MOT history shows your level of decepteption, you can't change history with lies. The mileage history shows you to be what you are. MOT 29 July 2015 119,662 miles you sold it with less than 90k so called warrented caught in one lie and the rest is obvious.
Good reviews can be purchased bad reviews carry more weight. If you put more effort into good business practice and less on poor service and sold quality vehicles, you wouldn't need to put so much effort into trying to make your review score higher and hiding your poor standards from the public.
The credit card company agreed with me, they are covering the costs you incurred that is never done lightly.

So MOT's shows the issues!
Credit card company settle your problems!
Other fincance companies have done the same.
All you say it must be me and other customers you scammed yet never answer or sort the issues.
Deal with A37Vans at your peril, know your rights!

Same response nigel nothings changed speaking politely to us gets you a long way. Most of the issues highlighted was discounted on the invoice to compensate and stated on the signed invoice .You have put reg in the review but the log book has not been changed so the van has not been scrapped or sold 🤦‍♂️ we did suspect something was not adding up with yourself and that you was after a good will payment .To dispose of any vehicle you would require a log book to be updated for scrap or change of keeper etc this has not been done and is simply impossible to do if you so say didn’t have a log book 🙄you have been caught out massively here unbelievable . To lie you got to do better than that we will never be bullied into a corner
With most reviews it’s usually a disagreement or bad news never the good

There is always a small minority you can’t work with unfortunately with nearly 100 other 5 star Google reviews over 5 years of business would suggest how we deal with problems that may arise on used commercial vehicles you cannot please every customer but we do try our best

Please please, please use your credit card!

Please, please, please use your credit cards when dealing with this company, to cover your own backs. After purchasing a van back in August for £8500.00 after an 8 hour round trip we have had nothing but problems. The mot that came with the van had no advisory's yet when we had our own mot done there were plenty. Our credit card company spent many weeks ringing and emailing with no response from A37. After doing more digging into the history of the van we see the milage had been changed! We will get our money back finally but only after a lot of hassle. Its a real shame that A37 don't show as much interest in customers AFTER money has exchanged hands, as they do when you're buying from them! Credit card company says this happens a lot with dealers and because of the expense of taking them to court, it just gets written off! What a shame that garages treat the general public this way ... it doesn't give you much faith to do business with them. Don't forget .... use your credit card!!

Reference milage all vehicles mileage we sell is warranted from suppliers that are supplied by .Normal mileage discrepancy's are when moted in miles but actually recording km on dash very common with business vehicles or xlwb vehicles where being used for hire and reward with a additional tacho system.Reference mot we do not mot vehicles they are moted independently your vehicle did not fail its mot it had advisories. Advisories are discretionary down to the individual mot tester.
