We spent a long time researching touring e-bikes at the beginning of 2021 and were impressed by 50 Electric Bikes combination of powerful Brose motors, Gates belt drive and 11 speed Alfine hub.
My wife and I have had our Trekking 11g and Citywave since April and are convinced that Scott and his team have created the perfect low maintenance touring ebike. We take ours coastal touring hitched to our caravan and the bikes make easy work of the steepest hills that Devon & Cornwall can throw at us whilst providing around 60miles of range on a single charge.
50 Electric Bikes have been a pleasure to deal with and their customer service has been excellent.

Bike is top of range. Very well built. Excellent performance. But dissapointed no USB or Bluetooth connectivity.

Picked up my very first e-bike today
It is lovely,build to specification by Scott,such a professional service, he was so knowledgeable and courteous,and he put me quickly at ease with the workings of an e-bike

It was worth the long wait(5mnths) for my Trekking S11 bike. I feel very comfortable sitting in an upright position. The bike feels very stable and safe at the speeds you can acheive on the road. Hills, even the steepest are no problem. I regularly do 20 to 30 miles in an evening and do not feel tired after.
I would recommend this bike to anyone. I am over 70 years old.

Not only an amazing bike. What an amazing guy. As a new sustainable food delivery platform, 50 electric Bikes were the only bike company to support our mission of lowering global emissions. This totally runs in line with both of our missions to protect our planet. They decided to become our exclusive partners and have provided us with several bikes to carry out our deliveries. We get up to 70 miles on a single charge and the step over design suits are riders. I can not thank and recommend 50 electric bikes for their support in aiding me as CEO and founder to realise my dreams. Oh and did I forget to mention affordability. What a machine for the price, I shopped around and couldn’t find anything that came close to price vs functionality.

I previously bought a Kalkhoff Tasman 8G from 50cycles branch in Richmond about 5 years ago and was immediately delighted and impressed by the performance of the bike.
During the Covid lockdown I was contacted by Scots Snaith of 50cycles in Loughborough by email and phone asking me if I was interested in a new 11 G city wave electric bike. He explained how he puts together bikes which he considered as the best
components and customise electric bikes.
I agreed and offered my Kalkhoff Tasman in part exchange, the deal was struck and back in March ordered a new bike.
I initially bought my Kalkhoff electric bike
bike to assist exercise as I was struggling. During those five years I had a hip replacement and had a total knee replacement in both legs.
Because of the Covid travel restrictions and being very busy myself, it’s only this weekend that I’ve had a chance to travel up from Kent to Loughborough to collect and exchange bikes.
The new Citywave 11G was stunning in looks looks and performance included belt drive, hydraulic disc brakes, security chain, much faster battery charge , very stylish panniers...
the list goes on and on .
It has a slightly larger motor and the acceleration and speed are ridiculous! This really helps me to keep up with urban traffic easily and I feel much safer now as fewer vehicles try to squeeze past.

Nice bike to ride. Smooth and comfortable. I have had the bike for some time now and really happy with the experience.

Having had the Trekking speed 11G model for just over a week now, i am pleased to report how impressed i am with it, i have owned 6 E-Bikes now, and I think maybe this will be my final one, I don't think I will find a better one on the market.
Out of the box, all I had to do was attach pedals, turn the handlebars to the right position, and ride it.
Gear changes are smooth and precise, speed is just what I need, and it is whisper quiet.
I swapped out the suspension seat post for one that I prefer, but, that is the only change needed for me. Even without the suspension seat post, bumps and potholes are smoothed out wonderfully for a person like me who suffers from serious spinal issues
One small problem occurred during delivery, and a very minor part was broken in transit, a quick E-mail to Scott, and the part was rapidly replaced.
I would highly recommend dealing with this company, and wish Scott every success in the future

I love my new electric 11G. Its so much lighter than my old one. The frame is also more rigid. Dealing with 50 EB was really easy and straightforward and they kept me well informed on progress

After a long delay due to Brexit problems we picked up 2 City Wave 11G bikes from Scott. He agreed to finish one in Black which was great, I liked the idea of a stepthrough, but did not fancy a white one. Both bikes are very comfortable and powerful, ideal for the peak district, even the 1 in 4's are no problem at all. The range is less than we expected and have purchased 2 spare batteries to give us a massive range, as they easily fit into the pannier.

I have recently taken delivery of a Trekking S11 electric bike. 50 Electric Bikes have produced this model using top quality components and hand assembly is done at their works in Loughborough. On unpacking there is very little to assemble. First impressions, it is a functional machine of sturdy build. The design is fairly standard and uses a belt drive to an Alfine 11 gear hub system. This I feel is a plus and more robust than derailleur gears. The gear change and brake controls on the right side of the handlebars are not ergonomic they interfere with each other but I am used them already. The Brose motor is very smooth but despite the 90nm rating needs the gears when hill climbing. The coloured display is clear and provides the basic ride information. One shortcoming ,the Range selection always shows 0. After battery charge my first outing clocked up 33 miles and the battery showed 10% left. ( I live in a hilly Area)So far I am please with my purchase.

The service is excellent! When they can get the stock they ordered! Brexit and Covid have caused long delays across the industry but now my wife and I have the bikes, we can see that they are absolutely top quality! The ride is comfortable, the components work well together and the Brose motor is bothquiet and powerful. The price ,for whay youget, is very good too!
