Great service , very helpful staff especially John from the Stockport branch who helped me pick my record player/speakers explained everything clearly of how to set up etc… explained delivery was the next day and was kept up to date with time of arrival , arrived properly packaged and I set it up myself lol following John’s instructions and I’m loving my record player …. They're always happy to help in any way they can. I recently purchased a home cinema system from them and they were extremely helpful and walked through the process at my pace.

It also helps knowing that the people there know what they're talking about, I recieved a subwoofer rca cable and it only had one connection when I asked they were more than happy to explain that it would work and why it would. This again is knowledge I wouldnt have had and would have just brought a cable with the 2 red and white ends. I was that impressed that I brought a further home cinema package from them and they even sorted me out on price as well so I got a bargain.

Will definitely be returning to them in the future for more hifi related items. The only reason I gave them 4 stars instead of 5 is because of the delivery service with dpd. Unfortunately I will only collect my items in store because I dont trust dpd to deliver my parcels properly and its a shame we dont have a few choices for delivery provider but im more than happy to go to the store anyway just to browse and sometimes spot a bargain.

Chris from the Stockport branch was friendly, very knowledgeable and knew all about what speakers would be best paired with my stereo amp. After discussing my requirements and budget he recommended a set of Acoustic Energy AE100 bookshelves which isn’t a model I was aware of walking in, but after getting them installed I knew I made the right choice - they sound fantastic!

In an era of online shopping and keyboard ‘experts’, it feels refreshing walking in to a physical shop and receiving great service and genuine, hands on advice. Richer sounds have never let me down and I’ll recommend them to anyone looking for AV equipment.

Guy who served me had been very helpful previously but obviously misunderstood my terminology. I asked him to throw in a pair of cheap Bluetooth headphones with the Sonos speakers so that I could try them out before buying better ones. Wasn't aware that you couldn't take goods bought there and then and didn't pay too much attention to amount paid. It was only on delivery of the speakers with no headphones that I realised my wording must have been interpreted as "for free" rather than just add them to the bill. As a consequence I ordered some headphones online from another supplier.

Smooth, timely & positive TV purchasing experience from the initial call to get answers to a few queries and confirm a discount to completing asimple online order & to speedy delivery in a couple of days.
There are plenty of places to buy TVs, but Richer sounds make it easy & competitive. I recommend without hesitation.

We went to the Stockport store to have a look for a new television, the staff were really helpful. No pressure to buy, just good honest advice. Once we had made our choice delivery was arranged for a day that suited us. We even got a seven year guarantee included for no cost. I’m glad we chose Richer Sounds rather than going to the usual large stores. I would say to anyone thinking of buying a television or any home entertainment system try Richer Sounds first.

Excellent advice from very experienced member of staff After sale service was excellent when I was having issues setting up First class service and incredibly happy with our purchases.

I took in the tone arm for my Thorens 166 mkII and asked for a suitable cartridge for my budget of £100 to the Stockport branch.
I was recommended the audiofon red but when I got home I realised the standard fitting wasn’t going to work with my arm.
As I live in Canterbury I will need to take it back to another southeast branch to swap. Disappointed as I had the arm with me at the time of purchase.

I love richer sounds and they love me

I had bought an Argon TT3 from you back in March as well as some speakers and stands. I spent alot of money. The first turntable had some damage to it, so it was swapped for another one. All good. This turntable remained unplayed until the middle of July because the room the player was going in was being renovated. The turntable didn't seem to play very well from the start, so I thought it was the fault of my old vinyl records. But on the morning of the 5th it wouldn't play any records at all. It just slid across the record. On closer inspection of the stylus the needle fell out and was in 2 prices, with the main part bent. I couldn't prove it was always like that from the start, but the shop assistant had no interest that it could have been a manufacturing fault and just dismissed it as accidental damage, so I had to pay for a new stylus. Why couldn't the warranty on the turntable cover it? Its sad but I don't think I'll shop with you again....

I'm adding this update because I spoke to David at customer services after writing the original review. He was very understanding and professional in dealing with the above matter. After reviewing the matter, he has given me a full refund the the stylus. Much appreciated in your understanding David. I'm updating this review to 4 stars because of David at customer services.
