Faulty speakers turned into a painless upgrade

I bought a nearly-new pair of Kanto REN speakers that arrived faulty — a hum from the rear switch and no power. To make it worse, I'd opened a return when what I actually wanted was a replacement.

Liam W in customer service handled the whole thing in one morning. He explained the options honestly, including the warranty repair route and its realistic timescale, then offered a discount on a brand-new pair so the difference was only £50. Payment link sent immediately, confirmed as soon as it landed, and a door-to-door swap arranged where the courier delivers the new set and takes the faulty one away in the same visit — no labels to print, nothing for me to organise.

Excellent prices, deals, and quality brands. Delivery was excellent and arrived a day early which was a welcome bonus. Highly recommended.

The worst service I have ever encountered.

Spoke several times to the staff here about my purchases and they gave helpful advice as well as a great price. They also helped with offering a decent trade in price but I decided not to use this. The delivery didn't go perfectly - arrived damaged but they straight away sent a new one, and when this too was damaged they ordered a new one from the manufacturers as a replacement - this one was perfect. (They also offered a refund if I preferred). Couldn't fault the staff - Liam was excellent, thank you!

Excellent customer service

Ordered a turntable as a present but paid for the basic delivery as ordering in advance of the event. It arrived sooner than advised , cannot comment on the product as still to be given as a present but was competitively priced.

Used Peter Tyson for several items over the years and always 1st class products and service.
My latest purchase was a Denon AV amp. Arrived quickly and up and running same day. However just over a week in and I had issues with the amp not switching inputs correctly. Email to PT and a reply to say sorry for issues and to box the amp up and a replacement would arrive next day and they would take my faulty amp away.
This is just fantastic service and they couldn’t do it better. Prices are on par with other online retailers so nothing to be saved by going elsewhere. Highly recommended for all your audio/visual tech.

We were looking to replace our Bose Acoustimass 10 system which was in place for long time. We needed a system which was not too invasive space wise even though the room is large. We opted for Monitor Audio Radius 270 floorstanders, an MA Radius 200 Centre and 4 MA Radius 90 Surrounds. These were coupled with an SVS Micro 3000 Subwoofer. Excellent upgrade with the new speakers blending very well with the SVS sub. We now have an excellent stereo system for music and a very impressive surround system for movies. We went to Peter Tyson because we had already purchased a Yamaha receiver from them a few years ago. As with the earlier purchase, advice was freely given, nothing was too much trouble and no pressure. The Customer service is excellent, prices competitive and the delivery is efficient and prompt. The buying experience is a pleasure and we can strongly recommend Peter Tyson when looking to purchase Audio-Visual equipment. They easily justify a 5-star rating!

I had to return an appliance as some parts were missing. I've got enough to deal with at home as my husband has serious health problems, which means I am now in sole charge of the house, garden etc plus three active Border Collies. So I was rather fed up to have yet another problem to sort out. But Liam in Customer Services was a gem: he responded promptly, cheerfully and effectively. We even had a bit of an email laugh about things. I'll definitely look to use Peter Tyson again
