Hertz - Salem - Bridge Street Omdömen 

The experience at the Salem Hertz office was so bad you would think that someone was putting us on. There were two employees but only one was trying to help customers. When I asked the older Hertz employee if he worked there, he said he did but didn’t help customers get into cars. Then he continued to (what appeared to us) "play on his phone". This office was poorly managed and the employees could have couldn’t have cared less about customers (I am being very polite by stating it this way!). We did not get the car we reserved. Of the two cars left, the Hertz employee never asked us if we had a choice between the remaining two cars. He said that they were nearly out of cars but that he expected some returns later that day and would call us when they came in. He never called. I could go on, but you get the general idea. In contrast to this, the return at Logan Airport was efficient and fine.

With little trouble acquiring said rental, I was more than a bit surprised that the only car we could get was a beat-to-hell, Tesla that had every wheel cover scraped from curb hitting, scratches in the front and a large bumped right rear corner panel. It was not a pretty car.
The agent told us that it was all he had left, so we took it! He also assured and that all of the car's damages were previously recorded. Obviously, not! Days after getting home, I was notified by Hertz that the car had damages that I could be liable for. Whaat!!
Thankfully, I video recorded the vehicle before we drove off of the lot, as proof, just in case!
The car itself was fine, dependable and use worthy. I would rent from Hertz again, but with suspect.

Awful Experience. Don’t understand how this location can continue to be part of the Hertz network.

What's the point of being a gold member if I get nothing out of it. I have never been offered a discount that I could use, never been offered an upgrade and have never just walked in and had someone with keys waiting for me. Also, every time I rent there's something wrong with the car. At least 3 times I've had to turn the car in, this last rental had multiple dashboard lights on and the car was not clean, but I was in a rush. Last month, when I got to the Bridge Street location in Salem, MA there was no one there. Nobody called me to say that the half dozen people standing at the dealership weren't getting a car because the "only" person scheduled for the day had called in sick. Really??!!! Plus your website is terrible. Don't ask me where I want to pick up a car, show me where there is a car and I'll pick one of those.

I use this rental local regularly & Fabio has always got me in & out with ease, clean car thats ready to rock & he does it with a professional efficiency that is very welcome when planning your day. These guys are curteous & a pleasure to deal with
