absolutely appalling- Bought a SMEG induction cooker instore, but due to their error of not ticking the correct box it was a failed installation as the engineers who arrived were not able to disconnect a gas hob. Tried to get the matter resolved but without going into the store no one could assist. The online complaints team were neither use nor ornament saying that they could not assist and the customer care phone number put me through to a call centre where reading off a script rebooked the installation incorrectly again,( in spite of there being photos uploaded onto the system clearly identifying that we had a gas Hob). I was always of the understanding that customer care was there to listen to the customer to understand the issue and ask why if only to confirm why the installation had failed in the first place. Went into the store to try and resolve the matter and was told that I was being unreasonable as I could not take time off work adlib to fit in with their 2 day a week delivery time and unable to book a time slot until the day before. Ended up cancelling the order and going elsewhere, getting concerned now about getting the refund sorted when I eventually get the cooker picked up at their convenience. Till then I have to carefully store their cooker in my lounge.

Item arrived as described. Pity about the Carrier, arrived one day late, but at least Curry’s refunded the delivery charge.

I was experiencing issues with wireless printing with my new laptop and called the 'expert' by telephone for guidance as advised, but was eventually told to go back to the store.
Because of the problems I was having, Ben offered to come to my home to sort it out. I was so relieved and I honestly cannot thank him enough. I always have the utmost respect for individuals that are prepared to think outside the box and do what they can to help .
Thanks also to the Manager at the Longton store for all his help and advice and not forgetting Andrew at the door who always cheers me up when I go in !

I bought a Nutribullet from Currys in Longton to replace one I had had for over a decade but which finally gave up the ghost early this year. The new one lasted about three months then stopped working. I took it back and Currys replaced it without a murmur. That one also lasted about three months and died again so I took it back and said I wanted a different one as clearly Nutribullet have lost their quality. The manager quite rudely said I had had it over 30 days so they'd only replace it or give me a gift card. I said the Consumer Rights Act disagreed with him, regardless of their "company policy" but he just repeated himself and walked off. I read out the appropriate part of the CRA which says a retailer gets one shot at replacing something faulty, after which they have to give a refund. At this point the manager changed his tune and gave me the refund whereupon I went somewhere else and bought my replacement blender. I cannot imagine Currys are ignorant of UK consumer law so I think this is a deliberate policy. Seems stupid to me as I went somewhere else and bought a Ninja blender, a television and a new monitor. If anyone is interested, It's section Section 24 of the Consumer Rights Act 2015.

Very good service and response but it says up to 45 days for free iPad. I paid cash for it so I don't see why I need to wait for the free iPad.
