Apollo Motorhome Holidays - Auckland Omdömen 

The Apollo Euro Plus was so gorgeous! So roomy, new & lots of storage. It was perfect for 3 weeks in NZ in the winter. It drove well & was full efficient. The team were so helpful on pick up & drop off, defo recommend!

Easy process ggod van easy check in and out

Initial orientation was not thorough enough
Need to be thourough with vechicle
Operation european car diff to Australia quite frustrating trying to work out lock out features
Locstion reception fantastic and drop off return very quick and effient

Firstly the upgrade to Britz, much appreciated. The vans are clean and comfy and we are always very happy dealing with THL. We had no major issues but our friends did and it was dealt with in a timely manner without too much drama.

We had an excellent vacation in the rig - it was just right for our family of six, and the process for pickup and drop off were very easy. The motorhome was well maintained and serviced, and we had no problems with it's operation. It was very affordable, and the staff took great care of us.

We had a pretty good experience, and would probably rent through Apollo/THL again. We were happy with the size of our camper, and everything was operations inside the RV. We had plenty of pillows and blankets, and the electric heater was an absolute necessity since the built-in heat only runs for 2 hours (and then has to be off for at least 10 minutes to turn back on). However, the RV had been in an obvious accident (in 2024 according to the paperwork I received after pick up), and most of it was just left as-is or patched with duct tape. Based on the high cost of renting this vehicle, I would have expected to have one that wasn't damaged. It didn't help that the drivers side mirror literally FELL OFF one day and we had to fix it ourselves. The best part of renting here was that there was a 'community kitchen' where we could pick up or leave items (think spices, some condiments, tin foil, etc) to avoid throwing things away. Also, be aware that even when the facility is very empty (like only 2 other couples present), it will take at least an hour to pick up your RV.

The motorhome did everything we expected and needed. We had everything we needed and got to travel to a lot of places, stopping when we felt like it and having everything on board.
Staff when we picked it up and dropped it off were very helpful and made sure we made the most of the facilities it had. Loved it

everyting was very good. thanks Apollo to make my great journey in NZ.

but 2 things I got in troubles in that journey.
1) it was quite confused where and when I could meet the shuttle. THL guys should make hotline in online for visitors. becuase for the holiday people, time is really important.
2) 2nd one is, inner heater(working with diesel's one) in campervan was broken. yes it was working when just did operating. but after 1~2 hours, it was stoppted. so our family went through freezing nightmare.

We visited New Zealand from Australia while staying with family there .Our first time in New Zealand also our first time in a Motorhome! 🤩
Fantastic experience from start to finish the van we had ( Mercedes sprinter) was immaculate & had everything needed and more. We downloaded the app Apollo recommended that had everything on it we needed with campsites,fuel stations supermarkets etc
Our daughter & son in law are already planning to return again next year - sadly we live in the UK so it will be a while until we’re back to Australia to visit them
The Team at Apollo were amazing so friendly & helpful I’m so glad we decided to explore New Zealand this way an amazing experience

Community cupboard to hand on unused supplies is and fantastic idea and really appreciated

Quick and easy check in and briefing of the vehicle.
The camper was well fitted out and in great condition.
A thoroughly enjoyable experience.

Our first time motorhoming loved the convenience of just parking up and plugging in ,easy as.
Very good instructions on pick up.

I was advised in my email that we were going to get the patrol motorhome and we were given the diesel

Overall satisfied, however there were some issues with the vehicle, battery charging not working, drain overflowing etc.
Pickup and delivery was quite fast and nice staff. But there was an error in our milage readings so we paid too much Road user fee. This was however corrected after contacting customer service.

The pick up and the drop off we’re easy the pick up lounge was fist class and the staff explained everything with ease and we’re first class

Great experience picking up and dropping off. They took note of my minor concerns and made both getting in the campervan and leaving it extremely easy. I love the community cupboard, where I picked up some items to start and left things when I returned. I also appreciate the facilities having clean bathrooms and showers (with everything you need). Staff was friendly and helpful!

We were happy with the people but not the vehicle. The reversing camera was the main issue. It failed on the 2nd day of our 10 day trip and caused major unease reversing the vehicle. It apears that it also made the vehivle unroadworthy as the view from the rearview mirror was less than 15% of the tital viewing area. The attempt to repair this and other isses were ineffective.

Friendly staff. Smooth, well organised start and end of rental. Good shuttle service, just need to be clear to renters that it could take an hour from return of vehicle to arrival at airport.
