You changed the terms and conditions…

You changed the terms and conditions after I booked but before I picked up the van. The van was therefore useless to me and the staff in the shop and head office were arrogant and unhelpful to my problem. Would never use Maui again and have advised many others not too as well.

Thanks for taking the time to share your feedback; we’re really sorry to hear this was your experience. Just to clarify, our terms and conditions around travel on unsealed roads haven’t changed. The limit of no more than 12km on unsealed roads for 2WDs has been in place for quite some time and applied to bookings made before collection as well. We do our best to make these details available at the time of booking so guests can plan with confidence. That said, we completely understand how frustrating this situation must have felt, and we’re especially sorry to hear that your interaction with our team didn’t meet expectations. Following your feedback, we have added the specific road you are referring to in our restricted roads for 2WDs, as a courtesy to our guests heading to that area, to ensure they are aware it is a restricted road.
