Fusion Academy - Berkeley Omdömen 

I want to start by stating my son's instructor was amazing. Can't say enough great things about him and the learning experience. My struggles are with the logistics of the Berkeley office. The person responsible for Student Development (aka class scheduling) was extremely unprofessional, inept and not at all clear or upfront about the process. I had to call the Berkeley Academy several times to get a resolution and was given too many excuses to count. It made for an difficult onboarding process to say the least. I never once heard back from anyone in the administration to check to see how things were going once everything was resolved. Thankfully, the instructor Nicholas made up for all the consternation. I would definitely encourage anyone to utilize Fusion, just be very wary of the Berkeley office and their logistics.

Fusion is amazing. After years of struggle in a high performing public school district, being labeled "gifted" while failing classes, he found support at Fusion. He replaced F grades with A and Bs in core classes. More importantly, he really learned the material and developed a sense of success and confidence that was missing. We are so thankful for Fusion in Berkeley. You taught him, supported him, and valued him for the person he is. THAT is how we support our next generation of diverse leaders!

Fusion Berkeley turned my kid around--The one-on-one instruction helped her focus and she learned to see herself as a successful student! She felt seen and cared for by all of the adults. Because of the pandemic she ended up doing most of her classes on-line and found that modality to be well suited to her learning style. She particularly liked the home work cafe where she could feel connected to other students, and get the support she needed while being able to concentrate and learn.

My only complaint is that they scoffed when I suggested that they possibly find or assign a YouTube video regarding history/government instead of assigning reading. The aim is to help kids that learn differently learn, right?

Fusion Academy has changed my grandson’s life. He never liked school and found it very stressful. He now loves it and looks forward to it everyday. He’s always early for class! The staff and teachers are so positive and encouraging. They focus on the student’s strengths, not their weaknesses as is so often the case in public school. They meet the student where they are academically and support their progress no matter what their learning style. They are realistic without judgement or criticism. Teachers work hard to know the student and their interests outside of school so they can use that information to further their studies. The one to one model is ideal for my grandson. He is thriving and and we are all so grateful.
