Do not use this company!

If I could give this company zero stars, I would. My project was a small fencing project, and the company required a small project fee. The neighborhood I live in has an HOA and requires approval before any fencing project can begin. When I contacted this company, they representative said that they would take care of getting my HOA approval for me and assured me it would be a smooth process. It was not.

The company did not send all of the required documents to the HOA for approval and my request for the fence was declined. After a month with no response from Ergeon, I finally was able to get in contact with representative and have her send me the HOA paperwork. I went through the paperwork and made several requests to Ergeon to make corrections to the paperwork and submitted to the HOA myself.

Once I received the approval, I contacted Ergeon and my project manage by phone, email and text message. I did not hear back from anyone for over two weeks. We scheduled an installation date for 6/19/26 with an arrival time between 8-10 am. I took the entire day off work.

On the installation date 6/19/26 Ergeon was a no show/no call. I called at 10:30 am and was informed my time had been pushed back to 12-2 pm that same day. By 2:30 no one had shown up, and I proceeded to call again and was informed that my project manage would call me back. By 5:00 no one had shown up and no one called. I called Ergeon yet again (3rd time) and requested to speak with a supervisor.

No supervisor has ever called me regarding the lack of communication from this company. My fence has not been installed, and I have cancelled my project. All of my attempts to contact this company have been met with silence from Ergeon.

I would not recommend anyone use this company, as they do not return phone calls or any messages.

WARNING !!!!!!This company IS A SCAM. They will take a deposit. And keep giving you reason as to why no steps have been made for over a month. They dont answer phone calls. They play dumb. They have no answers for any questions you may have.

Steer clear on this one. They completely jacked up my measurements and estimate using satellite vs. having a real person come out and work with us. We had numerous issues, then didn't remove my old fence fully, leaving a safety hazard! I had to fight
to get it removed without them trying to bill me over $400 extra! 4-5 different points of contact with the project was insane. They promised price guarantees and no worries, well that was a bunch of B.S. They are Lowes subcontractor, so do yourself s favor and go elsewhere to someone that will actually come out, measure and talk to
you.

I am updating my review now that my fence project has been completed.
While we had some issues with communication and scheduling throughout the process, I am very happy with the final result. The fence looks great, the workmanship was well done, and it has completely transformed my backyard.
The finished product met my expectations, and I appreciate the team’s efforts in completing the installation. For that reason, I am updating my review to 4 stars.

While our initial experience with the sales representative was positive, the process deteriorated immediately after we paid the full project cost upfront. Although we were promised a start date within one to two weeks, Ergeon ceased all communication for an entire month. During this time, our emails, texts, and calls went unanswered, and no project start date was ever scheduled.

Due to this lack of responsiveness, we engaged a case manager from Home Depot to escalate our claim. While Ergeon eventually contacted us to offer a $500 discount and a new start date, we have declined this offer as trust has been completely lost.

We are still seeking the return of our funds and strongly advise others to avoid using Ergeon services based on this experience, unless you want your money taken and no services rendered.

Paula helped me to navigate a remote measuring of the space I would like fence in, and then we went over the different options for materials. Then we discussed the costs of the different fence types. Once we decided upon the type of fence to install, we began working on the payment. It just so happened that at the same time, I discovered that I had the wrong credit card, and needed to jump through hoops to fix the situation. Paula was extremely patient with me while I navigated through this issue. Now, I am at the point of scheduling an installation date.

We hired Ergeon to put a fence around our property for our family. The initial contact with their team was great and we were looking forward to our project. Our installation date was moved up which was amazing until we had city codes stop by saying they had no permit for the build. After lots of back and forth we did find out that yes, not one of the 3 project managers we talked with bothered to make sure a permit was filed. This was back in early May 2026, we are in the second week of June and our fence still is not done. It has become an eyesore and a huge stress point for my family. My son cannot use his play area as the materials are blocking all of his play set, my dog keeps getting wrapped around the posts that are just sitting in the yard and we have people asking all the time when it is going to be completed. We have been pushing for a completion date especially after I went to the city myself and filed all the permit paperwork hoping it would get everything back on track but we have been told today that the new June 13th installation day has been moved again to then end on June.
We are so beyond frustrated and exhausted by this whole process. Do not hire this company

Bought a gate and installation 9 months ago. The wood of the gate has splintered, cracked and fallen apart, and the gate no longer functions/opens closes appropriately. Was told their warranty lasts 90 days and it is no longer their problem

I reached out for a quote. They gave me a quote of $4300. I paid a deposit. I did make some changes that I expected to increase the price. Two workers came and installed several posts. Two days after the work started, I was given an updated quote of $8900, saying they had measured wrong when they gave me the first quote. I expected a price increase due to changes I made but NOT due to their mismeasuring by A LOT. That’s more than double and was NOT communicated to me until after the work started. I refused to approve the updated quote because they made a terrible mistake. Now I have posts and a pile of materials on my yard that I expect will be picked up or something. I don’t even know. Salesman named Manny and project manager named Frank. Now have to find somebody else for an accurate quote that I will gladly pay for instead of playing games. I don’t mind paying for an accurate quote but I don’t appreciate the bait and switch.

I had a virtual call with Paula from Ergeon to get a privacy fence installed aroynd backyard. Her service was on-time, friendly, and clearly explained. I walked around my yard and explained what I needed. She created an image verifying my need. And afterward gave me an estimated quote.

I'm amazed at the quality of this fence and how smooth the entire process went. They responded right away to my inquiry. By video, Kerecia reviewed my slope and got measurements, assisted with satellite views. The team delivered in under 2 weeks and the quality of the craftsmanship was above expectations. The highly skilled craftsmen were professional all the way around and knew thier stuff. Very pleased and highly recommend.

I am disappointed with my experience. The company installed a self-locking gate as part of the fence service, but the lock was made with low-quality materials and broke in less than a month. What has been even more frustrating is the lack of communication afterward. I reached out several times by email and text and received no response.

The scheduling and process were quick, but the workmanship, customer service, and follow-up did not match the price paid. I believe customers deserve durable work and timely follow-up when problems arise.

We had issues on communication, but it was resolved with good work, And willingness to make up for it.

Great customer service. I really thought they needed to come out and take measurements for the fence, but the virtual experience was perfect.

I am submitting this complaint to warn other consumers about my experience with Ergeon, which was an exhausting 4-month ordeal filled with misinformation, poor communication, delays, and unprofessional project management.

From the beginning, I was given incorrect information regarding permit requirements and was told no permit was needed. I knew this was false and had to provide my own township’s code requirements to correct them. Weeks were then wasted because Ergeon failed to properly advise me on survey requirements before permit submission.

After obtaining the survey, I was repeatedly told my permit was being submitted, only to later learn Ergeon had failed to include payment and had filed the permit incorrectly. My township informed me they had contacted Ergeon multiple times regarding deficiencies and received no response. Meanwhile, I was assigned 3 different project managers and could never get a clear answer from anyone despite spending countless hours on hold trying to speak with management.

I ultimately had to work directly with my township, revise Ergeon’s plans myself, and obtain the permit on my own because their permitting department was unable to complete the process correctly after months of delay.

On installation day, while my existing fence was already being demolished, I received notice of a $650 change order due to incorrect measurements—measurements that should have been verified by Ergeon prior to construction. I was placed in a position where my yard was torn apart and I was being pressured to pay additional charges caused by their own failure. Only after demanding a manager did they agree to remove this charge.

Despite four months of delays, errors, and the fact that I essentially became the project manager for my own paid project, no compensation or meaningful resolution was offered.

Consumers should be aware that Ergeon operates as a middleman with extremely poor communication and little accountability. I strongly advise others to avoid this company.

UPDATE: The manager personally made a strong effort to correct the mistakes and improve the outcome once the issues were escalated. I appreciate the help, just wish it came sooner/
