Staff very helpful
We had an issue with a flat tyre in our vehicle so we promptly got a different car.
As with all Car Hire Companies, modern vehicles are generally fitted with space saver spare tyres, which are not really suitable for travel in areas where the nearest service centre can easily be over 100 km distant.

I thought the employees at Darwin…
I thought the employees at Darwin performed well, given what they had to deal with, not being based at the airport.
The car did the job well, mechanically, with good fuel economy, but I was irritated by what I call 'beep overload' from the console. Far too many warnings means they become less meaningful and that the driver's gaze is taken from road to console too often.
If I were in Darwin again I would used re-use this company.

At the end all was OK but star up surprises
At the end all was OK but there were a few items in the beginning. Like Car insurance, although it was fully covered still 5K would have been taken from the creditcard to preserve money for repair. 2ndly no assistance was involved although full coverage was payed for. etc. We did not like that. If your company rent out cars via 3rd party everything should be able to be covered and we should not have suprises at the counter. We did not experience this with other companies.

We're very sorry that the conversation at the depot was confusing. We are required to inform our customers of any risks they're taking, so regarding the third-party insurance, this product is not related to Bargain Car Rentals, and this is where the confusion lies. It cannot reduce your excess, and if an accident occurs, all excesses and fees are payable to us.
You can then file a claim to be reimbursed through the third-party insurance provider. We do then have to advise you of the conditions of the basic level of coverage, so you're aware of what you could be paying, to be reimbursed at a later date.
