I have been in dispute with Autovia over a false claim that they made and then removed money from my account. They replied asking me to contact their customer care team which I have done requesting various documents/ photos to back up their claim. I have received none of these and no response at all. Countless reviews on trustpilot tell the same story about this company. Do not use them under any circumstances. If anyone at Autovia Perugia is remotely interested the booking number id 202601769033

Esperienza molto deludente con Autovia. Avevo prenotato un’auto di categoria grande, ma al momento del ritiro mi hanno dato un’auto più piccola. Per avere l’auto che avevo effettivamente prenotato, mi è stato chiesto di pagare un costo aggiuntivo.
Inoltre, l’auto è stata consegnata con circa 3 ore di ritardo. Ho anche provato a contattare l’agenzia telefonicamente per risolvere il problema, ma non ho ricevuto risposta.
Non considero questo un servizio professionale. Se prenoto e pago una determinata categoria di auto, mi aspetto di ricevere quella categoria senza dover pagare ulteriori costi. Sono molto insoddisfatto del servizio e non lo consiglio.

ci dispiace per quanto accaduto. Se viene prenotata una determinata categoria di veicolo, il cliente deve ricevere un’auto appartenente a quella categoria oppure, quando previsto e disponibile, una categoria superiore senza costi aggiuntivi.
Anche il ritardo di circa tre ore nella consegna e la difficoltà nel contattare la filiale sono aspetti che comprendiamo abbiano reso l’esperienza ancora più negativa.
Dal momento che segnala sia l’assegnazione di una categoria inferiore sia la richiesta di un supplemento per ottenere quella prenotata, è necessario verificare nel dettaglio la sua prenotazione e quanto accaduto al banco. La invitiamo quindi a scrivere a customercare@autovia.it indicando il numero di prenotazione e la filiale di Brindisi, così che il nostro team possa effettuare le verifiche sul caso.

All went smoothly
I hired a car from Perugia airport for my holiday last week. There was no queue - the Opel Mokka was a delight to drive and all went smoothly. I did have to park in a space for a different car hire company when I dropped it back, as the two spaces for Autovia were full, but I explained why and was allowed to leave it there. No complaints at all.

Use with care - agree car damage before driving
I’d actually give this company zero stars if I could.
Requested a Seat Ibiza but got a battered Fiat 500 from perugia airport - we were given a printout showing damage to the passenger side and rear of the car. However we took a video prior to driving it away. We had no incidents with the car. And returned it in the same condition, A number of weeks later we were advised that we had caused additional damage to the passenger side and would be invoiced for cost of repairs. I provided video evidence showing the alleged damaged was already done however they still too money from my credit card.
The fact that there was existing damage (which looked quite old) should have made me request another car. I suspect that this company claim for repairs and don’t in fact get the car repaired and then charge the next renter ……. And so on.
UPDATE:
After many emails and re sending of video evidence, Autovia eventually acknowledged that the damage was pre-existing to my hire and refunded the amount taken from my card. Whilst collecting and dropping off the car was good, the post rental experience was not. I’ll not be using Holiday extras to book a budget rental again.

I didn't get the car I ordered. I appreciate this happens. However, the GR car I was given is a large car with very limited power to get up hills. Of which there were/are many.
I then needed to extend the booking for a further two weeks and was quoted 1,800 eruros. I huge amount of money. I did not take this quote and went to another car rental company who gave me a car for MUCH lower.

Please note that car models shown during booking are always “examples” of the category reserved, and while we do our best to provide the same model, substitutions within the same or higher category may occur depending on fleet availability at the time of pick-up.
As for the extension cost, rental rates are dynamic and can vary significantly depending on period, availability, and booking channel. This is why the quotation you received for an extension may have been higher compared to your initial reservation.
