Varta website says: 'Varta means Made in Germany'. So I ordered a charger and 4 packets of rechargeable batteries. When I unpacked them every single item was marked MADE IN CHINA. I emailed them about their dishonest website but they have not replied. Won't be buying Varta again.

dont buy varta battery
dont buy varta battery. I bought varta q85 battery for car. It gone in 13 months. Every batery dealer unable to help because they said charged on low power. I just wasted $290. Super charge batery still working in another car from 48 month and i spent only $150. Made a big mistake to choose varta.

These are the worst batteries I've ever bought. Put a new one in our wall clock (which it says they can run on the packaging) and it couldn't run it after only a few hours. Tried a different one from the pack and the same thing.
1 Star, don't waste your time.

Elendig batteri oplader
købte en varta batterioplader hos avXperten der formodes at kunne oplade 4 x aaa eller 4x aa batterier af gangen. med display oplysninger om opladning etc. Displayet var aldrig virkende og batterier af typen triple A kunne ikke oplades. Reklamerede til avXeksperten der venligt nok sendte en retur seddel, fortalte også at de ikke før havde hørt om problemer med selvsamme oplader. I forbindelse med en ny ordre købte jeg så endnu en Varta oplader. Vidste sig at være lige så elendig som den først bestilte,har sendt dem begge retur. 19/12 mailede avXperten at de hurtigt ville teste opladeren og vende tilbage.Venter nu kun på at få pengene tilbage

Waste of money and better exists out there
Not very great, I had two AA batteries in a digital clock. They were in about three weeks and needed replacing. I bought the batteries from my local B&Q, they were brand new. I went back to B&Q after the batteries stopped working, to try and resolve this.
I managed to get a refund for the batteries, as I had the packaging and the receipt. I'm very glad I did not throw those away, as I came very close to doing so at one moment.
A battery or more made by this company of beginners is like a pack of cards I guess and maybe now and again they'd make a full packet of quality batteries. I must however, say that 9/10 of their stock is faulty, bad quality and likely to fail. On top of that, they are not cheap for what they are either!
Set aside your money and buy something a bit more reliable, who knows, it could save you a trip back to the place you purchased them. Only to get back your money with no power to the gadget you bought your batteries for!

I was looking for info on chargers & rechargeable batteries, like AA and AAA size etc.
NOTE: micro batteries like hearing aid batteries are under “powerone-batteries...” or "varta-microbattery..."
+ Technical info clear & LARGE (assume the website text etc is sized LARGE for ease on smaller screen of smartphones etc). For PC / laptop, had to zoom out otherwise lost in the detail ...
+ Includes a link at bottom of each product page to a downloadable pdf of the technical manual for each product.
- Shop / prices - no Varta shop, no links or suggestions where to buy Varta products in the UK, (probably deliberate to avoid affiliation with any one country / online store or service). ... (as Varta is german, generally found better price & choice for Varta on amz de than on amz co uk, ... noting postage adds of course if ordered from a different country).
- the Varta website pictures for products like battery chargers & batteries is a bit flat, dry & dull. Better / more descriptive 3D pictures of Varta products available all over the web like on images ggl, amz, eby etc.
