We’re a friendly, family run business nestled in the glorious North Yorkshire Moors, within walking distance of the North Yorkshire Moors Steam Railway. Our customers are modellers, collectors and enthusiasts who are fans of model railways, vehicles (military and civilian), and diecast models and figures. They are also keen kit builders and diorama creators. Our knowledgeable team includes railway modellers and dedicated railway enthusiasts, RC experts and plastic kit enthusiasts. We’re ready to provide you with a premium experience and first-class service. We’re essentially mail order, but we do have an onsite showroom and workshop for visitors to enjoy. We stock all major brands of model railway locos and rolling stock across all gauges at competitive discounted prices, usually around a 15% reduction on the recommended retail price. It’s not just locos - we supply everything you need to compliment your layout from scenery, figures, buildings and electrics to modelling tools, paints and effects. We also sell an extensive range of plastic kits, slot cars, diecast models and aviation models.

Great Packaging
Great Packaging, quick arrival time even though I live in Australia.
The Maintenance and accessory fitting instructions were missing out of my engine model. I contacted them and they quickly emailed me a PDF copy from the manufacturer.

I have placed several export orders…
I have placed several export orders with TMC over the past six months, and all have been well handled. When I made a mistake, I was able to return goods I didn’t need for a refund without any fuss. Their trunk service, whereby one can pay for an item, take it off sale, but wait for it to be shipped until other items are added, thereby saving postage, has proved to be very convenient. I have docked a star because sometimes the detailed information for an item on their website is incomplete.

The price for the model was very competitive, the model was very well and accurately described on the website. There was a slight delay as there was a little customisation (very well done). The model was very well packaged and delivered as informed.

Very good prices and a huge range!
Lovely people to deal with. A recent order was delayed because an item was out of stock, as explained most courteously when I called them. They were happy to refund the item out of stock and send the rest immediately, or send it on when back in stock. I asked then to deliver when all items were in stock, which they did very promptly. No money was taken until they shipped my order.
Have used many times in the past and will continue to do so.
