Review of Mr David Cheung
Consultation very informative answered ALL the questions I put to him, procedure, after care no question seemed to small for him to answer and put my mind at rest 10/10
Took more than enough time to explain the procedure and possible end results that might happen 10/10
Surgery itself expectations were exactly as Mr Cheung explained NO surprises operating room played peaceful / restful music through out. Operation itself passed by relatively quickly and staff adhered instantly to his request, felt I was in expert hands and very safe. 10/10
After surgery no problems given a coffee and asked to sit down and rest for ten minits or so, given full instructions on how to act and sleep for the next couple of weeks, all required after care medication supplied. 10/10
Would DEFINATLY recommend Mr David Cheung for any eye operation he is able to do with out fear or favour 10/10

I had a number of consultations with other eye specialists and I have to say that Mr Cheung was by far, the one who made me feel the most relaxed and confident.
The initial consultation lasted an hour and was very thorough. Mr Cheung has a friendly relaxed manner.
I opted for sedation, which was totally pain-free, with none of the after-effects I've had previously with a general anaesthetic. I was monitored for just over an hour post-surgery, with no problems.
I had my stitches removed 10 days later. I am particularly nervous about having stitches removed, however, it was nowhere near as bad as I had imagined!
Due to the Covid situation, my 2nd post-op appointment had to be delayed, however, Mr Cheung always replied to my questions via email very promptly.
I am very pleased with the result and have no hesitation recommending Mr Cheung to anyone considering eye surgery.

The consultation was extremely detailed, and lasted over an hour with him meticulously measuring and checking the structure of my eyelids. This was was followed by him explaining the anatomy of the eyelids and explaining the risks of surgery carefully. As a specialist in Ophthalmology, he was clearly an expert.

He has a very relaxed & non-judgemental demeanour. Following the consultation, he was very happy & quick to communicate via email and answer all my questions to make sure that I was 100% sure about everything.

He was very efficient and was able to offer me a surgical date as early as 3 weeks after the initial consultation. The surgery was with local anaesthetic, and very quick (maybe 30-40 minutes). And the nurses were very friendly and helpful.

The major downtime after the surgery was just a few days. Although swelling persisted for three months, the results after look good and natural. He clearly has an understanding of the "natural asian look", unlike many others who seemed to want to try to westernize the eyes.

I highly recommend Dr Cheung for any cosmetic eye surgery.

I was referred to Mr Cheung following a nasal operation during which the tear ducts in both nostrils were severely damaged.
When I attended my first appointment with Mr Cheung it was refreshing to meet a surgeon who is so honest, approachable and caring he soon put me at ease. He explained clearly what the required procedure would entail to repair the damage as far as was possible.
Prior to the first operation I was concerned regarding possible damage to my sight and to the extent of scarring, I need not have worried on either account as the operation went well and the after care I received was excellent.
The wound healed well and over the next few months the scar became almost undetectable, I had no hesitation in requesting the operation for the other eye.
The second DCR went just as well thanks to the skill and professionalism of Mr Cheung.
I would like to thank Mr Cheung for his care and have no hesitation in recommending him as an extremely friendly and competent surgeon. Dennis.

I recently had blepharoplasty and a ptosis correct having had a lazy eye since birth. I had no idea for years this could be corrected and I had one hooded eye one side and a lazy eye the other side. It was really starting to bother me and botox was no help. Luckily David was based near my work and he did my surgery under a local which was great as no need to go through all the prep for being put to sleep. I was happy with the whole experience from start to finish. I would recommend if having any work on your eyes to go to a special and not a general cosmetic surgeon.

From my initial consultation, surgery to being discharged David has been excellent. All the options were explained prior to surgery in full detail. Albeit the surgery was uncomfortable (meibomian cyst removal) the result is excellent. David and his team were very good on the day of the operation and put my mind at ease. Prior to my first consultation with Mr Cheung I spent three years contemplating the idea of having lower blepharoplasty. I researched and read endless reviews. Looking exhausted all the time when your not became a real issue and my self esteem dropped as a result.
I finally plucked up the courage to see Mr Cheung. His knowledge and expertise put at ease straight away. He fully explained the procedure and advised me honestly what was possible.
The consultation was followed up by an email reiterating everything that was discussed during the meeting.
On the morning of the procedure I was nervous and excited. I opted for sedation , which incidentally was wonderful. At no point did I feel any discomfort during the procedure .
After the procedure I spent about an hour or so being monitored by the recovery staff.
The one incision did weap for a couple of hours after the op. Mr Cheung did say this may happpen and it very soon subsided. Mr Cheung contacted me that evening to check how I was.
I did bruise a lot , this again was quite normal. I had black eyes for at least 5 weeks. A couple of times over the next week I sent pictures to Mr Cheung to check that my recovery was going to plan. Mr Cheung was very reassuring.
I am now 4 months post op and am thrilled with the results. My lower eye bags have 'gone'. My intention was never to roll back time mearly to stop looking tired and haggered. People have told me I look 10 years younger. Bonus.
Mr Cheung has been amazing.
My only regret...... I wished I'd had it done sooner.

Right from the initial consultation, David put my mind at ease, explaining all of my options clearly, along with pro's and con's for each. There was no pressure at any point to opt for any of the procedures, and all consultations were very relaxed. We had a few consultations leading up the surgery (Frontalis Suspension), each one giving me more confidence that I'd chosen the right Surgeon. The day of the surgery was again, very relaxed, which eased the slight nerves. David and his team were great throughout, providing commentary throughout so I knew exactly what was going on at all times. The surgery itself was slightly uncomfortable, but the only pain was from the initial anesthetic injections. Post surgery, I was given all of the medical ointments that I'd need, along with some advice for the following few days. The package also included a number of follow-up aftercare appointments, which again, David was great with, explaining each time the healing process, and what I could expect between the current and the next appointment. Overall I'm 100% happy that I made the right choice in choosing David, and wouldn't hesitate to recommend him to anyone needing surgery, or just a friendly consultation to explore their options.
