Sweet and affordable

If you're looking for a nice, sweet, and affordable book subscription box, this is the one for you. The books I've received have always made interesting reads, and the little self-care gifts are really nice to receive each month. Definitely recommend.

Mixed feelings

I feel like 3 is too low but 4 a bit generous however I love to give benefit of the doubt

So my box took longer than expected however when I queried I was promptly and politely replied to and it was a misunderstanding on my part and then also I'm sure the impact of COVID on deliveries

Considered how it's sold as a luxury experience I didn't feel this upon opening the box. The contents were ok and I'm happy with the book received but having received many other boxes in the mail unfortunately this fell a little short. This is easily rectified though if they do some market research and order some other brands and also work on their box branding being cohesive with their Instagram & website advertising

Some tweaks and I'm sure it could be everything it promises to be

No real problems so that's why I'm not doing a low score

Love it.

I have been receiving these boxes for a few months now and have not been disappointed. I love that the packaging is recyclable and that every month is a surprise. I have been really pleased with the treats inside and the books have been great. Would definitely recommend.

Receiving reposed boxes for over 2 years now

Always happy to receive boxes from reposed. Very good value for money as you get book plus some other lovely goodies. I have tried quite a few different book subscription boxes and found reposed the best due to value and book choices. They choose newly released books with great reviews. Happy customer for over 2 years now.

Glad to have my subscription

First of all, I really like the package because the box and tissue paper are recyclable. Pleased about not to know what’s inside it. There’re also some nibbles and samples. And the book is the reason that I’ve subscribed the box. When you go to a bookstore or a library it’s hard to choose due to lots of choices; but when you subscribe a box like this, you’re able to receive a book which maybe you never buy or borrow yet you will like so much.

I look forward my Reposed box every…

I look forward my Reposed box every month. I feel pampered and loved by strangers. Each month the book is a surprise, a new discovery I wouldn’t have made otherwise. All the rest of the treats you receive are a surplus, and the best one was the Prosecco chocolate 🤩

Little monthly treat - recent topical book

This is the book equivalent of a beauty subscription box. For a monthly price, you receive a recent topical book in paperback and a small selection of goodies to enjoy at the same time as the book. Usually a drink, a pampering product and a snack of some kind.
This is a novelty gift, which is a little treat to myself each month.
The value of the box is roughly what you receive (I don’t know why the reviews on here seem to want to expect so much extra) and for me it’s a nice treat to get a modern book to broaden my reading and discuss with my friends.
The company are responsive any time I’ve been in touch and I’m happy to continue to use them.
The delivery times are well stated on the site, you get the first delivery the month after joining as they have a 1st of the month cut off date for new customers.

Not received

My son bought me a 3 month subscription for my birthday. The first box was over a month late which was possibly understandable as it was at the start of the pandemic. However, I never received the second or third boxes at all.

What a great idea!

My husband bought me a box for my birthday and I have to say, I think it’s a great idea! Great quality items and a new book I’ve really enjoyed. As a new mum it encouraged me to take some much needed time for myself. Really lovely, would recommend and look forward to my next box!

4th box I have had to chase on 6 month subscription and still not received.

Box finally arrived 05th Sept 3 weeks late and after chasing it. Unlike previous reviewers I think its a lovely box, well packaged and value for money, you can check out on their Instagram, however no campany does well with poor, defensive customer service, poor delivery, most likely poor computer systems. I would definately be a subscriber on product alone however spending so much time chasing my missing orders, ineffective and rude customer service on more than one occasion has put me off completely. Please please please Reposed listen to your feedback and invest in yourselves, your ordering system, and qualified customer support, stop being defensive as your responses here show and admit there are problems, put these right. Don't just rebrand when you get lots of poor reviews customers are not stupid and don't like to be misled. Take this opportunity to flourish. Apologise to the customers you have failed and start afresh.
Please also see previous review, very disappointed yet again by this company. I ordered a six month subscription and a one of delivery, I have had to chase 4 of the 6 boxes and the last one has not arrived. I have tried to get a tracking number but they won't give me one. Just avoid them the amount of time I have spent chasing them I could have written a book. I actually hate the thought of leaving a poor review about a company but I also value honesty and integrity. Reposed is neither.

How much can you trust these reviews though? While browsing Trustpilot recently, I spotted something of a curiosity: there was a stark difference between the average star ratings that Argos and John Lewis, two of our best-known high street stores held, and it was one that bucks the acknowledged status. John Lewis, one of Britain's favourite department stores, renowned for its knowledgeable staff and good service, only has an average of 1.7 stars on its Trustpilot page out of five, with 70 per cent of customers rating it as bad. Meanwhile, Argos, a high street stalwart better known for its catalogues than perhaps its expertise and customer care, has a much higher average of four-and-a-half stars.

So, do we have it wrong on these two shops? Is John Lewis letting down customers down left, right and centre, while Argos is delighting most? Puzzled by how this seemed somewhat strange, I was inspired to dig a bit deeper. It doesn't take long on Trustpilot to uncover other examples of businesses scoring very differently to each other in a way that could surprise those who shop their regularly.

Similarly, Oasis, a popular womenswear chain, has four and a half stars on the world's largest review site but Topshop only has one and a half. Again, this seemed strange considering both brands are well known and in the same industry. A crucial difference to be considered is that Argos and Oasis are paying members of Trustpilot, whilst John Lewis and Topshop are not.

By looking at their respective Trustpilot pages, it is possible to tell whether they pay the site or not, by checking to see if the company subscribes to Trustpilot's business service. Trustpilot says paying for its service does not enable companies to improve their reviews, delete negative feedback, or get any other unfair edge.

However, a spokesman for the firm said that there is an element that can explain some of the big variations in scores between companies that pay it and don't. Subscribers, such as Argos, are likely to be actively encouraging all shoppers to leave reviews - and thus bagging more scores from happy punters - whereas firms that don't subscribe, such as John Lewis, do not push for feedback from all customers and are therefore more likely to be skewed towards those seeking to review them on Trustpilot when they have had a bad experience.

What do companies get if they sign up to Trustpilot? Trustpilot has three paid versions: the 'Lite' plan is available from £165 per month and the 'Pro' site can be bought from £449 a month. Then there is also the option for the 'enterprise' plan which is tailored to the customer, with no price listed, but it is believed to be far higher than the Pro package. All of these plans must be paid for annually – meaning firms must stump thousands upfront for the service.

However, 87 per cent of the businesses on Trustpilot do use the service for free with the free model allowing users to still invite, respond and report reviews. So why would someone pay for the service? For those paying the higher amounts, they will have access to an account manager or a customer success manager. They will also have access to Trustpilot's marketing tools in order to push for more positive reviews.

No matter which service you pay for, or if you don't pay at all, Trustpilot says if you report a review on your page as unfair and it is found to violate its guidelines but it can be brought into line, e.g. if it contains offensive words that can be removed, it will be temporarily hidden until the review's author makes the appropriate changes.

It seems then that companies could report multiple reviews as unfair, even if perhaps they are not, as they can sometimes be hidden for up to two days, thus leaving them with more positive reviews showing on their page.

As with any successful business, Trustpilot has its supporters and critics.

Investigations have previously looked at the possibility of gaming the system, including research by BBC 5 Live Investigates, which found that it was possible to buy a false, five-star recommendation placed on Trustpilot via a Facebook group.

This is Money was also recently contacted by a whistleblower, who asked not to be identified, who claimed that paying members can get more control over their reviews and ratings than those who refuse to pay.

The source claimed that a previous company they worked at was annoyed by the amount of negative reviews that were left on their page from years ago, when they partnered with different firms, which was skewing ratings for their current activities.

They alleged that Trustpilot representatives said they were unable to remove the negative reviews, but heavily implied that they would be better able to help if the company signed up for a £500 per month subscription. After subscribing, the source found it far easier to remove these inaccurate reviews.

Do not use this company

Rude customer service, no refunds no matter what and their product is shoddy! I got a book, a tea bag, one biscuit, a postcard stamped with all sorts of logos and that was it!
It sells it as being a luxurious indulgent gift to yourself with luxe pens or incense and it's not. It's sample sizes of things with a book they probably paid nothing for.
They also charged me for a second month before I had received the first one to test their product. When I asked for a refund for the second month they said no way. Also, I have still not gotten this second months subscription box!
What is with them responding to messages saying don't believe it, because they can't control them? It's real people. I am a real customer and I am really telling you - DO NOT BUY

DO NOT USE THESE PEOPLE

I take my time out to warn you and as these people need to sort themselves out. I was deeply embarrassed by what my partner received. For about £15 she received a decent book that I could have purchased for about £5 and no doubt they got free, then a few bits and bobs of the sort they hand out as free samples at commuter stations/events. Literally a tea bag, about 20g of cr*p chocolate and a few other minute bits of promotional samples. In fact I believe that's exactly what they were. I complained and was met with idiocy, rudeness, arrogance, denial, the refusal. On this day i am not sure if it was a contracted ' offshore' customer service team without great written English, or they were just the rudest most arrogant fools I have ever dealt with - and I mean ever - forget banks, utilities etc, these people were verging on fraudulent. Basically 'You're not happy after 1 of 6 monthly deliveries and would like a pro rata refund? Well our product is brilliant, your points are total rubbish, and no, forget any sort of refund we're keeping your money and on't reply again'. Do you want to deal with these people? Please don't. I will not bore you further details beyond saying believe the awful reviews about customer service on here, and take any good one's with a pinch of salt. People, like me, do not take time to complain for no reason, companies do pay to have good reviews. NB: Scanning these reviews, I have never in my life seen a company will-fully discredit the review platform rather simply sort themselves out. That should tell you all you need to know.. Like I said: the rudest most arrogant fools I have ever dealt with

Goods still not received

Sorry about this but another update on my previous review. I think anyone looking at these threads will deduce that 'Jenny' who refers to genuine reviewers who have not received their purchases as 'nasty' is in fact an employee of Reposed. Why else would she be hanging around the reviews ready to insult people? In the absence of any customer service from this company or any way of contacting them beyond the email address, this review site is my only way of communicating just how awful this company is, in the hope they might just actually decide to deal with the problem and either dispatch my goods, refund me or at least give me a call and let me know what the problem is. I'm obviously not the only customer whose order has not been fulfilled and who Reposed is studiously ignoring. I'm simply stating the facts. I'm the victim here. A genuine company upon hearing that something has gone awry would go out of its way to communicate to put it right. Reposed is wilfully ignoring all communication. I wish I'd seen these reviews before I gave them my money. There are plenty of companies out there that deserve to do well and I wish I'd shopped with them. I have lost almost £100. I'm waiting to hear back from Trading Standards to see how I can try and get the money back.
*Edit: Amazing that Reposed acted on this review to say to ignore it but they still haven’t been in contact with me to actually address the issue, ie that they’ve taken my money but are not delivering the goods.

I don't know why there are so many nasty people reviewing this company, honestly! Four of us get this box, none of us have ever had any issues at all - and the team is always helpful if you have any questions. Best value book subscription out there - no doubt

Purchased this for my wife as a gift

Purchased this for my wife as a gift, and she's now six months into the twelve month gift. Pretty sure we'll be signing up again once she gets to the end of the subscription. We did have an issue when we moved house, but the customer service team were great at sorting stuff out quickly and sending a new box.

Didn't receive the boxes, and they've gone radio silent

I purchased a subscription box as a gift for a friend back in February. The first box didn't arrive until very late in March and since then my friend hasn't received her boxes for April or May - it's now July. They haven't sent any emails or updates as to what is going on. I have had to chase them in March to make sure the box is sent, and have had to chase them now. The first box was nice but the terrible customer service and lack of communication ruined it.

PLEASE, DO NOT TRUST THE REVIEWS ON THIS SITE. Trustpilot is a complete and total scam, and only allows you to have any control over reviews if you PAY THEM. The BBC, This Is Money, The Guardian and many others have featured Trustpilot and found that they are deeply, deeply problematic. This Is Money's article is pasted below, judge for yourself.

Many of us now rely on review websites to help us decide whether we're going to make a purchase or not. Thousands of consumers leave their thoughts on stores, holidays and brands online everyday, influencing thousands of other customers' shopping habits.

That influence has shifted from holidays and eating out, with TripAdvisor, and online shopping, with Amazon's own reviews, to stretch across a huge range of items and services that you can buy with the increasingly ubiquitous Trustpilot.

How much can you trust these reviews though? While browsing Trustpilot recently, I spotted something of a curiosity: there was a stark difference between the average star ratings that Argos and John Lewis, two of our best-known high street stores held, and it was one that bucks the acknowledged status. John Lewis, one of Britain's favourite department stores, renowned for its knowledgeable staff and good service, only has an average of 1.7 stars on its Trustpilot page out of five, with 70 per cent of customers rating it as bad. Meanwhile, Argos, a high street stalwart better known for its catalogues than perhaps its expertise and customer care, has a much higher average of four-and-a-half stars.

So, do we have it wrong on these two shops? Is John Lewis letting down customers down left, right and centre, while Argos is delighting most? Puzzled by how this seemed somewhat strange, I was inspired to dig a bit deeper. It doesn't take long on Trustpilot to uncover other examples of businesses scoring very differently to each other in a way that could surprise those who shop their regularly.

Similarly, Oasis, a popular womenswear chain, has four and a half stars on the world's largest review site but Topshop only has one and a half. Again, this seemed strange considering both brands are well known and in the same industry. A crucial difference to be considered is that Argos and Oasis are paying members of Trustpilot, whilst John Lewis and Topshop are not.

By looking at their respective Trustpilot pages, it is possible to tell whether they pay the site or not, by checking to see if the company subscribes to Trustpilot's business service. Trustpilot says paying for its service does not enable companies to improve their reviews, delete negative feedback, or get any other unfair edge.

However, a spokesman for the firm said that there is an element that can explain some of the big variations in scores between companies that pay it and don't. Subscribers, such as Argos, are likely to be actively encouraging all shoppers to leave reviews - and thus bagging more scores from happy punters - whereas firms that don't subscribe, such as John Lewis, do not push for feedback from all customers and are therefore more likely to be skewed towards those seeking to review them on Trustpilot when they have had a bad experience.

What do companies get if they sign up to Trustpilot? Trustpilot has three paid versions: the 'Lite' plan is available from £165 per month and the 'Pro' site can be bought from £449 a month. Then there is also the option for the 'enterprise' plan which is tailored to the customer, with no price listed, but it is believed to be far higher than the Pro package. All of these plans must be paid for annually – meaning firms must stump thousands upfront for the service.

However, 87 per cent of the businesses on Trustpilot do use the service for free with the free model allowing users to still invite, respond and report reviews. So why would someone pay for the service? For those paying the higher amounts, they will have access to an account manager or a customer success manager. They will also have access to Trustpilot's marketing tools in order to push for more positive reviews.

No matter which service you pay for, or if you don't pay at all, Trustpilot says if you report a review on your page as unfair and it is found to violate its guidelines but it can be brought into line, e.g. if it contains offensive words that can be removed, it will be temporarily hidden until the review's author makes the appropriate changes.

It seems then that companies could report multiple reviews as unfair, even if perhaps they are not, as they can sometimes be hidden for up to two days, thus leaving them with more positive reviews showing on their page.

As with any successful business, Trustpilot has its supporters and critics.

Investigations have previously looked at the possibility of gaming the system, including research by BBC 5 Live Investigates, which found that it was possible to buy a false, five-star recommendation placed on Trustpilot via a Facebook group.

This is Money was also recently contacted by a whistleblower, who asked not to be identified, who claimed that paying members can get more control over their reviews and ratings than those who refuse to pay.

The source claimed that a previous company they worked at was annoyed by the amount of negative reviews that were left on their page from years ago, when they partnered with different firms, which was skewing ratings for their current activities.

They alleged that Trustpilot representatives said they were unable to remove the negative reviews, but heavily implied that they would be better able to help if the company signed up for a £500 per month subscription. After subscribing, the source found it far easier to remove these inaccurate reviews.

The gift that keeps on giving

Was so pleased with the subscription I bought for my girlfriend - its the gift that keeps on giving! She really looks forward to her monthly box, especially the treats, and the books are always ones she wouldn't necessarily pick herself which is great. Great customer service too, and the letterbox packaging means we don't have to traipse to the local mail depot if we're not in when it arrives. Would highly recommend for a beautiful, out-of-the-ordinary gift.

Amazing!

I was blown away by the box I received, the concepts behind the business and the customer service. The box itself is incredibly thoughtfully curated and feels so luxurious! The products are all high quality and the value for money is the best of any subscription box I have received. Customer service were quick to get back to me and the FAQ section on the website was really helpful. I love the idea behind the box and especially love how they support women in literature. If you love reading and relaxation you must get this box!
