I have been trying for several weeks to open an Online ISA account but the website would not recognise me as an existing customer.
I spoke to the very helpful Morgan who was patient and talked me through the process (needed to enter my address manually).
Poor website but confidence restored with the great help from Morgan.
Please sort out the website and pass on my thanks to Morgan who is a credit to your company

DO NOT take a loan from these people they do not let you pay early without so many penalties that it is just not financially viable. We could have paid them back 6 years ago but they still want all the interest for the full loan. They are nothing but legalised loan sharks. GO ANYWHERE ELSE GIVE THESE PEOPLE A VERY WIDE BERTH.

The worse bank ever, been saving here for over 2 decades . Went in branch to draw a little amount of money and they refused to give it to me unless I showed them prof of where I was spending it (ie ) an invoice of work I was having done.
I am still speechless.
Incompetent staff, with very bad attitudes.

Activated my "account" but that was where the good experience ends!
A pathetic website where you cannot open an account. You go round and round in circles with the passcode activation. Staff helpline are clueless and did not know there was a Xmas account paying 7% where you pay in £125/month...so decided not to bother for £56 return at the end of the year and go somewhere else....Avoid in my opinion as look of the website looks like a scammers site!

Martin Lewis recommended a 7% return on some odd looking “Christmas” account so I tried to get one.

Account then was frozen
They unlocked the account
Tried again would not open
Tried answering secret questions would not open

It just went into a loop asking the same thing
Bizarre experience, if they cannot get the tech right then I do not trust them even with one pence.
I would take a lesser rate than trust some tin pot bs I have never heard off that cannot invest in decent IT or an app.
I am annoyed I wasted my time here.

I've had many Savings accounts with Principality over the last 15 years, I live in England miles away from the nearest branch. Everything is easy to transact online, often Principality has better deals than its competitors. I've never had any problems, and whenever I've had to call everyone is very friendly and it seems they go out of their way to help.

My recent experience is no different than my previous experiences. I have never had a problem using their online service. It's easy to navigate, set up new accounts and transfer money. And I am 84 years old!
By the way I see that Lloyds bank is on 1.6 stars, Barclays 1.6 and NatWest 1.4.
Principality on 2.9! How good is that?
I have also been to their Gorseinon branch who were very friendly and helpful.
I'm not naïve, nobody is perfect but they are as good as it gets in my experience.

Very bad web site..I cannot login due to it being so slow. The login process prompts to send OTP and that arrives before page refreshed to where you can enter the OTP ! Then when you do enter it it actually times out before you login to your accounts. This is after increasing profits from 40 to 60M and making 100 people redundant with their CEO stating this is being done to increase support to their customers !
I mean you would think with profits being in the green they could spend some money on their IT, or perhaps invest in producing a mobile app and coming into the 21st century.

Just opened two regular saver accounts. Straightforward but very cumbersome. Even though I have an account had to apply offline, then log in to see the account. Then, to open the second account had to apply offline again and then log in the see the account. Sadly very cumbersome.
Surely it wouldn't take much to enable online account opening. And don't get me going about ISA transfers still being by cheque

Created an account online. After a few days recieved an activation code by post, except it failed to work, then failed again. If they can't even get something this simple to work then they really shouldn't be trusted with my money!

Took out a fiver year fixed rate savings but was unable to get the money to them for several days due to them doing website maintenance during which time they withdrew this the offer even though they accepted the payment. Now have to wait for the money to be returned before I can open an account with a honourable company.

I previously recorded a complaint but wanted to change it to a positive.
I met with Sarah from customer services who listened to my problem and helped find an answer very quickly. Sarah was very professional and helped guide me through the best way foward. She also explained very clearly why the advice given changed due to legal changes over which the Principality has no control.
Myself and my family are very grateful to Sarah for her advice and guidance, it has helped our financial planning immensely.

Had to deal with an issue while transferring my isa from my bank to principality building society. My bank were unhelpful dealing with my query even to the point of useless. My feeling was its my money and they are trying there best to make sure I don't move it from them. Why!!! It takes them three quarters of an hour to answer there phone then supply me with someone who couldn't really be bothered to help. However principality bs were completely the opposite, answered the phone immediately, dealt with my issue immediately with respect. I felt like it was step back in time to a time where someone actually cared. You no the time when you walked into a bank and spoke to someone who helped rather than these days oh you need to do that online or in that machine in the corner over there. I see there are mixed reviews for them on here but my experience was 5 star service all the way. Keep it up principality building society. There are people who genuinely appreciate it. Thank you again.

Received a letter to say they were investigating my complaint. I never made a complaint. Called them to ask why I had received this and what the complaint was about, they said they didn't know! I then made a complaint about this and was then sent a letter from the complaints manager to say I was in the wrong and they would not uphold my
complaint!! Really????? They really don't know what they're doing and the complaints team is an absolute shambles. Do not use. If I could take my bond money from there, I would. Disgraceful customer service & unprofessional behaviour.

Completely useless company do not trust them with anything.
Attempted to set up a savings account, and after sending my address and identification for verification, which they accepted and returned, and them sending another letter to my address, they never bothered to send my activation code to activate the account, which they have now closed. Completely incompetent!
