I was the victim of a very sophisticated scam. My bank refunded half of my loss but rejected my request for full reimbursement. I sought assistance from Hallbrook Partners because about three years earlier they had informed me that I was owed over £6000 because of the insolvency of a company of which I was a shareholders. They recovered the money lost.
Now, as a result of their assiduous efforts in working with the Financial Ombudsman and my bank I have been fully reimbursed, with interest this week.
At the age of 87 I have learned a valuable lesson, and I cannot praise Hallbrook Partners, and especially Euan Porter too highly.

I was invested in a Company that suddenly went bust and I heard no more. I was therefore more than delighted when Hallbrooke and Partners contacted me to say they were investigating the Company. I have used Hallbrook Partners on more than one occasion and it is better to have money in your pocket rather than someone else's. If the claim is not successful, no fee is paid, but Hallbrook Partners advise whether the claim is likely to be successful or not. I have been very satisfied with their service.

Hallbrook have a very good record of success. Even if they fail they don't readily concede but still persevere and continue to try their best. They keep you up to date on outstanding claims and when complete the returns are transferred very quickly. On the back of a previous successful win I instructed Hallbrook to try and redress another ill advised investment. Hallbrook cold-called me but luckily I listened and quickly realised they might have something to offer. They then emailed more details about a claim they could make on my behalf to the Financial Services Compensation Scheme for compensation for an investment I made nearly 20 years ago based on a published prospectus that contained promises that subsequently proved false and baseless. Hallbrook took a formal statement from me over the phone, added this to legal arguments they had already prepared and submitted a claim on my behalf. The FSCS assessed and agreed compensation within just a few weeks and paid Hallbrook who immediately paid me net of their fee which I had agreed in advance. The whole process was smooth, well explained, and I'm glad I paid attention to that first cold-call.
