Couldn’t have asked for any better!!

Couldn’t have asked for any better!!

Finally a service where you get what you buy with no strings attached. When our couch got damaged we were nervous to report it in case they pulled out some clause we hadn’t known about but no! The form was fair, short and straight forward. The team stayed on top of it and the fitter has just come out and made a fantastic job. Really couldn’t be happier with this service

Don't waste your money with Guardsman cover

I reported a problem with my sofas on 18th Feb and an engineer visited 26th March he was very efficient and arrived on time. He said I would hear from them regarding getting my sofas repaired when the claim was approved. Unfortunately it is now 18th May and I have heard nothing I have gone on the website and it says my case was closed 31st March so I am not happy.

Absolutely shocking service

Absolutely shocking service

I bought a sofa from KC sofas in October 2024, it starting dipping not a year later, I didn’t raise it at the time as had a newborn baby so by the time I got round to it I had to claim through guardsman which I was fine with doing as the delay was from my end

I raised a claim with them in February, I have had two technicians out and we are 4/5 months down the line and my sofa is still not sorted
It takes them weeks to reply and refer things, the last technician came out over. A month ago and told me a piece was broken and needed replacing… still not sorted and I keep being ignored

Do not waste your money!!!!

Avoid !!!!

I bought an expensive sofa from DFS and was advised to take out Guardsman insurance, which I did without hesitation. A few years later, when issues arose, I made a claim and an inspector visited—but I received no follow-up. I later discovered via the portal that my claim had been closed without any notification. When I called, I was simply told the damage wasn’t covered. Very disappointing experience—it feels like I paid for nothing. I’d advise others to be cautious before purchasing this policy.

Issues after a couple of weeks

Was really pleased when the guy came out and sorted the sofa. Colour match was perfect but sadly after couple of weeks the problem area is reoccurring. It’s getting worse as the weeks go on.followed instructions as provided ( no contact with the sofa first 48hrs and don’t clean or wipe sofa down for 2 months) . Also since the works been done we have not sat on the sofa direct as we have always put a throw down before sitting on it to avoid direct contact. We would really like to get this issue solved and keen to hear back from you thanks Kerr. Pictures can be provided if required.

Don’t waste your money

Don’t waste your money. The technicians tell you one thing, but the company says something completely different when it comes to paying out claims.

The call handlers were also very condescending and unhelpful.

Between these guys and DFS, you’re highly likely to get scammed.

Bad experience

Had a stain which they cleaned but did not do the whole sofa so you can see where they have cleaned it. I had to clean the rest of the sofa so it matched. Not worth the money I paid extra when I bought my sofa

Disappointed …

I was very disappointed that the technician didn't fill the chair arms of my suite with extra stuffing. He said it was because I hadn't mentioned it on my request. I thought it would be a case of him deciding what needed doing would be the outcome when he first arrived to see the job.

Worst company ever

Worst company ever ! In brief, Didn't clean water stains as I reported 2-3 stains together. Stains caused by using the guardsman fabric cleaner in the first instance. Ended up cleaning myself. Absolute waste of my money paying for insurance!

When you submitted your claim, you advised that the staining was caused by using the manufacturer/retailer supplied cleaning products, along with general wear and tear that could not be removed. You stated that “the sofas just look dirty.”

Unfortunately, our policies do not cover wear and tear or staining that develops gradually over time.

We aim to ensure customers are fully informed about the cover provided under our insurance policies. To support this, we provide training to our retail partners and make the Insurance Product Information Document (IPID) available at the point of sale, which outlines the key benefits and exclusions of the policy. You would also have received the full Terms and Conditions, which explain the cover in detail.

As you have already raised a formal complaint, our Complaints Team has completed a full review of your claim and has already written to you outlining the options available should you remain dissatisfied with the outcome of your claim and/or complaint.

Nothing was resolved

Nothing was resolved. It took weeks for them to send a "special cleaning product " which turned out to be a wet wipe.
When that didn't work someone came out who gave the sofa a wipe which didn't work and said there not much they can do.
Pointless lot of scammers

No thanks. It took months to get you to do nothing. I will go to the pound shop where I'm sure I will find something to clean the sofa. Good luck with your company that just collects premiums for sending out wet wipes 👍
