I cannot believe that this company are…

I cannot believe that this company are sending me threatening emails to pay their spurious invoice despite the fact that we are awaiting information from my bank.
I cannot do anything to move the situation forwards and am so angry about the behaviour of this company.
Every time I get a threatening email I will post a damning review. Frederick Edwards you are a disgrace.
Keep away from this company.

Here we go again. This is a nasty and aggressive company who despite my asking them to understand my personal circumstances have continued to harass and bully me.
Living with a partner with blood cancer and being his only carer is exhausting.
I am so stressed I have now complained to the Financial ombudsman this morning after yet another demand for money.

We have tried to call you & have also mailed you asking you to contact us as we have been waiting for you to provide us with supporting information for months.
You seem to find the time to leave a inaccurate reviews but don't answer the phone or reply to emails so you've not cooperated.

All you need to do is call us and we can resolve the situation, its that simple!

Approach with caution

Beware when approached by this company. They imply they can get you money back and push you down to answering the questions whether you are certain of the answers or not. I have just been charged £120 (which must be paid today, otherwise it would be £240) for absolutely nothing. Buried somewhere in the terms and conditions you sign up to it says you agree to pay this. I said i couldn;t remember who i got PPI money from, or when, but never was it laid out that there was a risk.

It is actually in Fredrick Edwards interest to close clases without proceeding, as in general they get more money for this than had they been successful.

I appreciate that you sign up to terms and conditions, but after being promised the earth and that it is all very easy and 'don;t worry, we will do everything for you' you think that you wo't be ripped off!

When you receive the response, you will see the proof that it wasn't Fredrick Edwards who provided false information and that you were not led in any way.

We don't close cases without proceeding. You were advised the case would need to be closed due to the breach of our Terms.

Perfect Timing

I signed up to use this company almost 2 years ago and have just received my refund.
The staff are very polite and helpful and had advised me there would be a delay as HMRC had lots of cases and a large backlog so I just waited.
I received my refund on Friday and it couldn't have come at a better time!

Utterly dishonest company

Utterly dishonest company that should be investigated by Trading Standards. So they record your calls, the call recording proved that we stated that we had no idea when we had received PPI claims. They said they would still act on my behalf - all recorded, recieved a letter that stated that because the claims were more than 3 years they couldn't go back and therefore they couldn't put a claim in. They claimed we mislead them, even though recorded telephone conversation backed up that we said we didn't know the timescale and thought it was more than 5 years and they replied its OK we can still review for you. We disputed the decision as the recording was clear so they raised to management who agreed we had mislead them and an invoice was duly sent for £240 for their time, with a threat that if we didn't pay it would £30 a month extra charge on top of the £240. Persisted constantly with threats if we didn't pay additional charges would be made.

Disgraceful disgusting underhanded company no one answers the phone. They told me 8 weeks and they would
Update me if something happens, it took about a year !!!! I done all the chasing with no updates. No letter confirming what I have received or what they have done or what the charges are. I received 4 letters from hmrc I assume they have done their job. When I eventually got hold of them I was told they have done their job because Thats what they said on the phone !!! No written confirmation I can only take them on their word absolute joke !!! They sent me an email on the quite amongst all the chasing and waiting that went to my junk email and I incurred charges because of this. Don’t use them very under handed with trumped up charges wish I read the reviews first I would have never bothered ! Disgraceful on every level….

Thanks for your review.
I find it quite funny that your version of events isn't what happened and you see fit to blame us for your own mistake and lack of communication.
You ignored our text and emails when your claim had completed so you were charged a Late Payment Fee.
You called us and we agreed to remove the Late Payment Fee if you paid the original invoice-which you agreed to do.
You still didnt pay so we sent further texts and emails to you asking you to call us. We also tried to call you 11 times and you ignored our calls.
You called us on Monday and agreed to pay the full balance due without any hesitation.
I'm sorry you feel we are an underhand Company, but as you are aware, we have done everything to communicate with you!

misleading.

Originally only entered into an agreement for PPI vat overpayment. I received payment and paid my 40 percent.However only recently found out they are still acting as an agent which was a surprise to me. I
gave the 2 stars because they delivered on the claim but, would give no stars for misleading me in to thinking the vat was a one off.

Absolutely disgusting company

Absolutely disgusting company they say they sent letters out to me which I’ve never received, they said they can’t help if post office don’t deliver the mail , I was told I had to pay £275 today 28th October 2022
Or I would occur charges up to £375 pounds I had asked for proof and they sent a letter which was definitely not my signature on however am over 60 yeas old and disabled and had to pay it today as I can’t afford 375 so am now officially in debt to my friend who helped me today and am in total tears and can’t believe the bullying and there tactics shameful company who I’ve never even heard of .
And never been in debt
Absolutely disgusting.

Many thanks for your review.
You state you have never heard of us but we hold recorded phone calls where we have spoken to you on your mobile phone and where you have provided us with personal information that only you would know. You then signed our agreement whilst you were talking to us on one of those calls. Our system sent you an email with a copy of your signed agreement and you never queried it.
Then you didnt cooperate when we asked you. If you'd have cooperated on the numerous occasions we'd asked you to, you wouldn't have received an invoice.
We offered to set up a payment plan in our conversation with you last week & you advised you would pay the invoice in full.
Therefore, as you can see, we have done nothing wrong.

Utter shysters

Utter shysters. I know I've probably been conned,but can't work out how theyve done it.No correspondence except for emails claiming I owe them 'fees'/ late charges etc. No one answers the office phones as they have "busy times " according to the member of staff who phoned me. How convenient! They did initially get me a small refund ( under £40 after fees) over a year ago,had no correspondence from them,until informing me I owed more in fees & money to HMRC approximately 3 times that amount. I'm PAYE so don't know how that happened. Sharks,avoid at all costs.
P.S the member of staff whom I eventually spoke to said they had an issue with not paying enough tax via their tax code. Oh the irony...

This company is set up to defraud the…

This company is set up to defraud the public. They ask for letters from the banks a few months into the claim which the banks do not have as the time lines that FE ask for are well outside the lines the banks work in. Then when you cant provide paperwork that does not exist they bill you for their time. As in order to get this going you will have agreed to their terms and conditions. As they are a legal firm they are set up to be able to wrap you around their finger without you knowing about it. Stay well clear of this company unless you have a lot of time on your hands to waste looking for paperwork that does not exist and money to pay them when they bill you.

Firstly, we have not been set up to defraud the public.

We have claimed millions of pounds back for thousands of happy customers.

Secondly, by Law, your Lender must keep a copy of the settlement letter they have previously sent to you for 6 years AFTER they paid you the refund. Therefore you are able to obtain the documents. Maybe it was your Bank who were fobbing you off.

A simple phone call to your Lender is all it should take to obtain the documents. We aren't able to request them for you as its your personal data which the Banks wont allow us to request.

Its rare for us to ask a customer to obtain additional supporting documents and if we have, its because HMRC have asked for them before they will pay your claim.

I'm sorry you feel we have mis-led you but all the details of our service are set out clearly in our terms.

My experience of this company is all BAD!!!!
FREDRICK EDWARDS cold called me out of no where in February 2022 and told me they could claim back tax on PPI . They rushed me through an electronic sign up without explaining terms & conditions . They then during the cancellation period claimed they were going to act by contacting HMRC to claim my tax back from PPI and they did nothing . I contacted HMRC to see if they had carried out work for myself , and HMRC sent me a letter saying they hadn't been in contact with them and done no work on my behalf. SURPRISE SURPRISE!!! NO WIN NO FEE IN THE T&C'S of FREDRICK EDWARDS. Since then i have had numerous emails claiming i have to pay them a cancellation fee starting at £240.00 for not being in contact with them and i was in contact with them. They tried numerous tactics and ways to try and extract money out of me, even a cheaper pay off to get me to go for it. FREDRICK EDWARDS are having all bad reviews with all the same complaint's about them , so it is clear to see there is a pattern of FRAUD going on .Don't be bullied by these people and use a company that will act in a more professional honourable up front with people manner.

I have investigated your claim and have found lots of notes where we have spoken to you and you've advised you'd call us back.

Then we've tried to contact you numerous times by text, email, phone and letter.

We have also sent you a full explanation of what had happened and why you had been invoiced.

You replied and offered an instalment plan to pay our invoice.
Then you didnt pay the instalment plan that was agreed via email.

We have done nothing wrong, it was you that didnt communicate with us when we'd ben asking you to for a number of weeks.

Appalling and unreasonable company

Appalling and unreasonable company. Sent me an invoice of £240 for 'breaking terms and conditions', all because they could not get in touch with me!?, been informed if i do not pay this straight away i will incur extra fees added on to that! has this happened to anyone else? If so did you pay the fee?

We had sent texts, emails and also called you to progress your claim.

You didnt respond so your claim was closed due to your non cooperation.

We offered to re-open the claim and credit the invoice if you cooperated but you refused.

Therefore, as previously explained, we have done nothing wrong.

To credit the invoice and progress your claim, simply call our Service team who will be happy to help.

Digusting scammers

Digusting scammers! They hassled me to the point i gave in and let them try to reclaim the tax on my ppi claim. Never heard from them for months other than a message today to contact them due to outstanding payment! They claimed i was due them £240 cancellation fee as i hadn't been contactable and broken contract! If they couldn't contact me via email or phone then why not send a letter to my home address?! This company should be investigated, as it seems theres a running theme here of people being scammed! Even when i tried contacting them today you are on hold for 30 mins plus, answer your phones and you may get contact but maybe that the plan, dont answer the phone, claim theres been no contact then make threatening phone calls demanding cancellation fee of £240! Scammers praying on the public!

Scammers liars and fraudulent company

I was called by this company they are a total scammers, I was pressured in bullying tactics of the huge over payment I had made to Hmrc,,, I decided to contact Hmrc as these scammers wanted me to provide all kinds of details to them,,,I told them I didn’t want to processed as I had a gut feeling? Which Hmrc confirmed via a telephone call now the my are given me threatening call saying I owe the £240 and the are going to add late payment fees… wished they had a 0 star option

Shocking company that just exploits and…

Shocking company that just exploits and scams the public. I've waited over a year for compensation and they have only phoned me once. When i rang customer services they have the usual blurb to get rid of you and promise you an outcome in a few months. Avoid this company like the plague. Disgusted by them.

Absolutely shocking company

Absolutely shocking company.
Beware do not use. Go to a reclaim specialist that has time to communicate with their customers.
They send messages asking you to contact them regarding your claim but then you cannot speak to them on the phone unless you have 30 minutes plus spare to wait on hold. They then claim as you haven't been in touch you have breached your contract so 'try' and invoice you for their costs!
Try answering your phones and then people can speak to you. Just a sham of a company.
