So I put a review on the 10 of March 2025 saying what a bad experience i had with this company I got a review back from this fredrick Edwards saying they haven't got no claims on file so this morning I got a text message from a company claiming I own £288.00 to fredrick Edwards called lawson hathaway . when I all ready pay this what a scam please people do not trust this company

Awful scam artists. I can't believe they have not been shut down. Do NOT use this company

By far the most immoral company I have ever dealt with. They claim this trust pilot does not exist. just been in court with them, and they got away with saying they are not pushy on the phone yet conveniently they had not submitted any phone calls as evidence to the court.

Reported to financial ombudsman and action fraud and I suggest everyone else should do the same. Absolute scam of a company trying to charge £260 for not sending payslips for a tax refund..there was no tax refund in the first place. Nothing was signed. They have the cheek to threaten with debt collectors and court. Don’t be fooled by these bullies, karma will come in the end. The reviews speak volumes, soon they will be shut down. Bunch of clowns trying to charge for services they don’t even provide. Also, the letter is written very unprofessionally

** they reply and claim you are not on the data base….funny how most people who leave a factual, true review are not clients. Also, they may say it’s a different company, they changed the last word. Both companies are based in Stockport. Trust the reviews and have common sense to never trust the cowboys.

I saw their add pop up so thought I would give them a go, didn't read the reviews wish I had now!! Disgraceful company. I never signed an agreement and never sent them any documents to proceed. I had just lost my mum and my job at the same time and was at my wits end, then I get an invoice from them for over £200 for something I never physically signed for nor services recieved - why should I pay for something that was never agreed in black and white let alone services not recieved. These people have no humanity and compassion, now I have some other company requesting I pay their bill wanting me to send bank statements - absolutely not I don't know who these people are who randomly emailed me. Fredrick Edwards get your act together you should be ashamed of yourselves

Can you believe these people! I set up a DD to pay them off monthly, even though I feel it was unjustified. I agreed to pay off an invoice to get them off my back as I have so many family issues and FEdwards wouldn't stop harassing me.

They received the first payment last week. Yesterday I received a nasty threatening email saying they were taking action. I called and they blamed Bank Holiday for the error.

Then today, I got an even nastier Final Notice threatening to take action again if I didn't pay.

Incompetent, intimidating, bullying - I've had enough. I am 76 yrs old and they have caused me great anxiety. I am very depressed and I cannot cope with this . How do companies get away with such sharp practise? I gather they target mostly the elderly. I don't know how they can live with themselves.

This company got me to sign a no win no fee form. Nothing was accomplished. No win or no lose. No completion of my enquiry and I'm being hounded for £210 and threatened with court now. I'dike a business where I could chase people for £210 just for contacting me.

This company had a add explaining that a no win no fee for uniform tax return and they then said there was a charge I have to pay.I rang HMRC and they explained that they were contacted by this company and they shouldn't have charged an amount of no win no fee and to give the details to fraud crime stoppers.This company kept on pestertred me until I paid a amount which I could have done myself through HMRC.How do I know get the amount back from this company.

I don't think anyone looks at the reviews here until it's too late.

This company is disgusting. Threatening me with debt collection companies and court. I have never signed any contract asking for their services. I have given them one star as I couldn't give them less which I would have done. I Spoke to one of my professors at University who is a former barrister and he advised me to let matters go to court and when the matter is decided in my favour to seek costs and damages. My mother died recently after a two year battle with cancer and I do not need these Vampires hounding me

I did a verbal agreement last October (which apparently is legal) but a written one is more favourable and easier to argue the case through court. I am in the middle of fighting £210 but had the first letter today saying if I don't pay within 7 days I will get charged £65+vat which is a complete disgrace, they also said they will send reforcement to collect what I owe. I remember in the call last October they needed some documents and I couldn't get them so left it. Now I am being chased for something I didn't understand as I had no agreement to look at or sign. Frederick Edwards is a scam and should be avoided at every cost all they care about is money and not at the expense on how the person they are doing this feels at all.

Scam of a company , that do nothing and you constantly have to chase their progress , customer service very poor , constany getting invoiced emailed that increase each email requesting £200+ for a service I did not receive. Absolute scam of a company. Received information from Lawton Hathaway regarding a debt recovery payment that has been requested from Fredrick Edwards Associates. This is for a Tax reclaim that I know nothing about out. I’ve never asked or had any work carried out by Fredrick Edwards Associates. The fee is for £288.
In addition all of the information online suggests that Fredrick Edwards is a scam company.
Please report this company. Absolutely shocking business

A FEW Months ago, in last quarter of 2024, YOU Fredrickedwardsassociates.com was promised to Me that YOU are going to assist Me for possible TAX REFUND, and I AM waiting for your confirmation after given the documents you needed, then SUDDENLY, YOU are disappear, without any messages Why and What happened with respect to my CLAIM..Yet suddenly, you are summoned ME thru email that I HAVE to pay more than 100GBP for declining our deal.??for the FIRST PLACE, to let YOU know that BY NOT CONTACTING you client for MORETHAN A MONTH, it's already a VIOLATION to Dis-regard the agreement between YOU and ME..and I WAS asking for the HELP of Fredrickedwardsassociates website customer service, and they told Me that they don't have any outstanding names know my NAME in their data with regard to the TAX REFUND...Can YOU STOP your WRONG DOING pleasee!!!!

Never signed a contract with these. They haven't written to me or provided proof of contract. Without this they can text as much as they like. But they will get nowhere without a signed contract.
Legally they don't have a leg to stand on.
Debt collection agencies won't buy debts with no proof of contract.

This company is hounding my father for a bill which he has no idea what's its for. They have now said they are taking him to court, he's 78 years old with the start of dementia, and he has always been a law abiding citizen, so to receive correspondence of this kind has really upset him. They will reply with something along the lines of I'm not on their database or I am not their client, well thank god I'm not either, and everyone else, stay away and don't get involved, very bad news.

Received an email saying I owe Federrick Edwards £210 for acting on my behalf to claim tax back from working through covid! I never asked them to ,it's states no win no fee I've never received any money
Deleted all emails as felt it was a scam .
Threatening me with collection agency I'm at my wits end I can't afford this .

Having read a reply from the company I will wait for evidence that I asked them to continue with a claim after they did a search as to whether I was owed money or not, did I sign any thing? If they couldn't reach me why not call or write? I must of filled something out yes but it says no win no fee and if I'd not given permission to continue then why did they ? Yes I've asked for a call as I spoke to reception to be put through but no joy plus asked at the time what kind of company you were but they wouldn't comment .
Also I've mentioned nothing in my review stating I worked from home ! Only you would of known that from my application for you took into a claim and as you've said in your reply you don't do that sort of claim so why on earth would I have an account with you ?

After emails have passed between us ,all was explained and I now know what has happened so all sorted by a nice chap called Andy .
They don't normally do this via email but very kindly did for me as I have a brain condition which can make me forget at times .
All resolved now thankfully

Fredrick Edwards Ltd have offered no evidence that my vulnerable sister signed any agreement other than a disputed computer generated contract that has been signed by someone else, presumably an FE fraudster? She does not even have a smart phone let alone a computer so the contract would have to be signed on a hard copy. So this is fraud? FEltd then instructed their sister company Judges Demand who made all sorts of threats and could not offer evidence either now Lawton Hathaway have started demanding monies with menace to the tune of £378. This harassment started in 2021, nearly 4 years ago.
Avoid Fredrick Edwards Ltd at all costs.

You only have to look up these shady companies and peoples experiences.

Absolutely disgusting bunch of thieves and con merchants desolve the so called company and stop ripping people off they did no work. I didn't want them to proceed but they kept hounding me for payment for something they hadn't done then threatening letter to take me to court or face the bailiffs they are the most diabolical company out there and I urge people to stay well clear of them unless they want to be ripped off as well
