The product is generally fine except…

The product is generally fine except for the two following problems:
(1) the back of one of the three shutters is crooked, a disappointment no one would like to experience when opening the package.
(2) at least one of the three wall switches has poor connection. I have to press pretty hard in order for the switch to function.

The Ezyfit customer support called me immediately after they received my complaint. The second issue turn out to be one that was caused by me ordering the wrong type of switch because Bunnings (where I ordered the set) failed to explain to me that those switches are meant for plasterboard walls. Unfortunately mine is brick wall. Anyway, I'm happy with EzyFit customer support and their prompt response to complaint. They seem to be ready to help.

Great communication and a great product

Great communication and a great product. I ordered a roller shutter for my master bedroom from Ezy-Fit Roller Shutters and installed it recently. The installation procedure was quick, easy and well documented. The shutter looks great and works perfectly. My only issue now is deciding how many more I want in the rest of the house.

Ezyfit roller shutters are a no brainer .

These roller shutters are the best .I have installed 13 of them now around our house over 4 years . Great for privacy and noise . They keep the heat out in summer and they keep the room warm in winter . You dont need curtains or blinds on the inside . they give a very clean look on the inside and out side . Great customer service and advice and the saving by DIY is unreal , any handyman could do it .

Satisfaction with Ezy Fit Roller Shutters

A few years ago I directly purchased 3 electric remotely operated Ezy Fit roller shutters. The process was easy and I found the staff to be polite, friendly and helpful.
Recently I had a problem with one of the shutters and so I made contact again with Ezy Fit roller shutters for assistance. On this occasion, I was assisted by Damien Eugene. We discussed the matter and Damien emailed me some links to assist in me rectifying the roller shutter matter.
When I attempted to effect the repair, I found the matter to be more involved than originally anticipated. So... ring and talk with Damien (Who ended up returning my missed call. Well done and thank you Damien) to explore further options. I am now better prepared to take on the updated repair and am waiting for a part, which Damien has arranged.
These days, when one hears so much about customer service without receiving it, it is comforting to receive customer service from Damien of Ezy Fit roller shutters. Keep up the good work. It has been a pleaqsure dealing with you and the company.

Not overly happy…

I have had similar blinds professionally fitted on another house, so my experience is in comparison to that:
*I purchased 9 blinds from Ezy-fit Roller shutters. They are electric with remote controls.
*I paid a builder (and his laborer) to install them for me. This is a builder who has done a lot of previous work for me and whom I trust.
*The blinds are not as simple to install as made out. Particularly difficult on corner windows.
*Due to the thickness of the plastic piece at the bottom of the side rails, the blinds do not go to the very bottom and sit on the window sill, thus they let considerable light into the room.
*They can make quite a loud 'crackling' noise when they go up & down as the slats pull-a-part from each other. This is particularly annoying late at night.
*A couple of the blinds are not completely level when they are down, as the slats do not part completely on one side, at the top.
*A couple of them have made really loud banging/cracking sounds when going up & down, eventually a dark brown coloured plastic "wedge" piece (approximately 3 x 3 cm with two small holes in it) fell out of the pelmet onto the ground. I do not know if they were suppose to be in there, or were they packing pieces that should have been taken out?
*I find that the level of noise the motors make is quite different. This is despite being the same size blinds.
*I've had to get up the ladder outside on one occasion and manually help the blind down whilst simultaneously using the remote.
*The remotes are difficult to program when you have more than one blind connected to the remote.
*The phone service was convoluted. If you could get put through to the man that actually knew what he was talking about, it was great. But it was wasn't easy to get hold of him.

**On a positive....................
*I went with this firm because they were the only company that supplied the colours I wanted
*They were considerably cheaper - financially

**Suggestion:
*They should provide a followup troubleshoot service for a small set fee - I really needed this.

The shutters are great and better than…

The shutters are great and better than the old ones they replace. I must also express my appreciation for the way you run your business. I had to go into hospital while awaiting delivery of the shutters and Natalie helped me enormously by keeping me informed.

Worst customer service EVER

Had issues from day one including late dispatch and receiving a damaged product.

Staff quickly became unfriendly and arrogant claiming nothing is their fault or responsibility. Looking at other negative feedback, it seems to be their method of operation.

Prefer not to go into all the details and re-live that nightmare. To summarise: Worst customer service ever.

My guess is that if you'll have no issues, then you'll be happy. But if you'll have issues beyond a simple advice, then good luck with these guys!

P.S - I never gave them my permission to share my name and purchasing history with Trustpilot, and yet, they did...

I didn't want to re-live the nightmare but following the quick reply from Ezy-Fit (probably from Damien, speaking of himself as third body), I feel like I have to set the record straight, at least on some points:

1. The shutters were faulty. After blaming anyone but themselves, they agreed to send the parts for me to fix under the condition that I won't make any further claims against them. I didn't agree but instead wanted a full replacement or for their outsourced tradies to come and fix it. They did not agree.

2. I was never rude or a bully or aggressive. I did take offence to being called a liar (by Damien saying that I provided "inconsistent information", which is basically saying I changed my versions i.e. lying, which I didn't). I was also annoyed by them keep shifting the blame ("it's the sparky's fault. Oh, you proved it's not... so it's the builder's fault, Oh, it's not.. so it's your fault" etc).

3. Yes, it did take countless hours to try and resolve the issue. Damien seems to forget that I also spent as much time on this as he did (well, probably more, as I had to several times remove the cover, make videos and photos and place the cover back).

4. "we are actually very accommodating" says the man that I have multiple emails from him starting with "let me clarify a few things for you" - yes, that's the attitude you could expect when reporting a genuine issue (shutters got stuck every time they went up or down due to the upper row of the shutter being bent).

4. The 'support' ended after I said that if they won't fix it, I'm taking this matter to fair trading. To this Damien said that "this will be the last communication you will receive from our company."

Yeah, had lots of fun! :-S

Eventually, I got the issue resolved without their help and decided that going to fair trading will be too much of a hassle so I left it.

I stand by my review. Dealt with many companies in the past (don't we all?) and this is the worst service I EVER got.

Regarding your order, there may have been a slight delay in dispatch (these things happen some times), and we apologise.
Regarding the rest of your feedback, the team here spent countless hours trying to assist you and even offered replacement parts at no charge to assist you for a problem that you created with your shutter. If you read the rest of the feedback, you'll see that we are actually very accommodating and the only time there is an issue, is when people don't allow us to assist properly.

If you go back and read the emails between yourself and the case manager Damien, you will find that it was yourself that was extremely rude and making threats.

Damien spent hours to assist you assessing and diagnosing the problem and once he established it was not a fault with the product, you suddenly became aggressive towards him.

Again as mentioned, you were even offered replacement parts at no cost, but it seems your only interest was to try and bully our staff.

Very helpful.

When I visited the factory the young man was most helpful. The ordering and delivery all went to plan and the installation very easy. Only Boo boo was on my part as when I told the electrician where to put the switch I didn't take into account I was talking from the back and said put it on the right. However it didn't matter!
