Abysmal customer service

Bought a Panasonic microwave two months ago, and door seal has melted. Not only would Currys not replace the offending item, but they wouldn't send it back to the manufacture either. I was casually told, by the third sales rep I spoke to, to visit an independent repair company several miles across town since, "Panasonic won't collect directly from us". We have a three week old, and need the oven for sterilising bottles, so will have to buy a new one. Will never buy from Currys again.

Can't Place an Order

Trying to order a washing machine. I already have an account. It has my billing address. Go to checkout. Prompted to login - I do as asked. Then presented with a blank Billing Address and asked to enter details. Why? I already have a billing address on my account. Okay I give in and enter my Billing Address and press 'Save and Continue'. Nothing happens. Check all mandatory fields are present. Yes they are. Try again, nothing happens.
Only option is to select Back which resets all the information and prompts me to enter again. Do as asked. Still can't continue. No support available. Basically we have a company that doesn't want me to buy anything from them. Great business plan!

The worst customer service ever

We purchased a new freezer in February this year within four weeks it broke obviously ruining the contents, after numerous phones calls the freezer was taken away and repaired, after more phones we finally managed to get £45 towards the costs of replacing the spoiled contents this has finally been revived this week, then today yet again we have found the freezer contents completely defrosted, after an hour and half on the phone being passed from 7 yes 7 different people Currys are refusing to replace these faulty unfit for purpose goods. Please not buy or let your family buy anything from this company there customer service is appalling.

Currys simply create problems for the customer and have no interest in putting things right

I hasten to say that the dozens of different people I spoke to over many weeks all sounded as though they wanted to please but it was always THE SYSTEM at fault. Currys staff must have soul-destroying jobs. We are several hundred pounds out of pocket - trying to cope without a cooker in a new kitchen for over five weeks when our agreement with Currys would have meant it would have been only five days, as carefully planned. Without the very helpful people at Rangemaster it would have been much longer.
Currys simply hadn't a clue, nor could care less about the problems and anxieties they caused us by mis-describing products, postponing delivery and then even cancelling the order without any agreement with us. Having had confirmed payment from the day of the order ... we still needed to be "approved" as a customer - even though we had written confirmation of delivery on the agreed date. I could go on and on. Happily I am in a good position to warn off many others and have successfully done so. This review may help further. I shall never darken their doors again (or any of their many associated companies).

Do not buy from Currys

I bought a washing machine from Currys and KnowHow delivered it this morning. Delivery man was abusive to me and broke my kitchen tiles! I was left shaking and in tears. I have filed a complaint. I hope they respond to me. I will never use Currys again.

Very bad customer service

I bought my laptop at Currys in Sheffield, the computer cost 500£ and didn't work, well the product is bad but the customer service was bad as well,
VERY DISAPPOINTED, I will never buy anything at Currys anymore

BAD service

I ordered a product from CURRYS online and all seemed well and good. The delivery was as arranged although the driver wasn't the most friendly or cheery bloke.

Anyway, it turned out the item was faulty so I requested a return and refund (after reading the bad reviewers here, I though I should go for a refund and not a replacement and buy it again from somewhere more reputable, like John Lewis). That's when the trouble started. They ignored several emails, their premium rate phone number is a load of automated, on-hold rubbish and do everything they can to avoid the legal rights of the consumer. They sell faulty products and don't want/make it so hard to send them back that they hope you will just "put up and shut up".

I honestly don't know why they haven't gone under and BEG YOU NOT TO BUY ANYTHING FROM THIS COMPANY IF YOU WANT TO KEEP YOUR SANITY AND ANGER UNDER CONTROL!

Will not use in the future

I went into Currys on a Saturday as I wanted a 55 inch tv model Samsung UE55F6670 made a good choice its a great tv, previously bought a Samsung 60 inch plasma elsewhere and please note? a delivery charge of £6.95 tv received 48 hours later.
Currys wanted £18.00 Express delivery, told I would get it 4 days later on the Wed.
I looked up Currys Express delivery charges and according to there site, I should have rang know how on Mon morning to arrange a delivery time and should have been able to pick 2 hour slots through out the day. Nonsense they don`t preach what they write or advertise, no wonder they have such a bad reputation. had to wait till Wed morning to find out what time (day off work) then was informed by text it would be between 17.05 and 21.05. I rang someone from know how who knew nothing and tried talking down to me saying I would have been given all the info and possible times in the shop (no I was not) if they had said the times I got I would have said no, I get up for work at 3am so i,m normally in bed before 21.00. So I told them if the tv was not with me before 7pm they could shove it were they like and I would cancel and buy elsewhere. It came at 6.30 no lorry as that was down the road at another drop where the driver was doing a tv fitting??? so the young lad carried my tv some distance by himself (health n safety gone mad!!!! a tv that takes 2 people to carry and should be carried upright) I did say your mad but thanks and if theres anything wrong, damage ect your getting it back , fortunately for him it was ok

If know how reads this I want my Express delivery charge back, and you should review your delivery arrangements so your not overloading your drivers and any deliveries outside normal working hours should be free and pre arranged with the customer.

I don't know if I'm annoyed or not...

Currys/PC world- Princes St, Edinburgh.


Saturday 5th April - went for a nose about in store after being in Argos and the TV we wanted wasn't in stock (we need a new one for the living room)

Currys had one for £100 less than we were planning to pay so quids in there and it was ex display so we could get it delivered ASAP.
Unfortunately the member of staff, Harry, was a little bit simple and got our TV mixed up with the one next to it that cost £350 MORE than the one we asked for. Then there was a failure with the computer so he had to take all our details again - i'll put this down to him looking like a new member of staff so it's not completely his fault- and computers fail all the time!
We paid £35+ for " time to suit" delivery for today between 7-11am and went on our merry way, excited at new purchase and the day ahead.

Today, Tuesday 8th April- woke up at 7am, logged into KnowHows track it service and it had a message saying contact required. Called their 6.2p a minute number to find out my order had been cancelled-on their system it said that the product wasn't ready for pick up (2.5 days to take a TV off a wall and shove it in a box seems a bit much if you ask me)
Anyway, I then waited patiently until 9am when Currys/PC world opened and spoke to someone there - ready to go guns blazing I actually spoke to a really nice guy who explained that the TV wasn't on the delivery guys pick up sheet and it should have been (obviously). Instead of jumping in with "this is what we'll do" patter, the guy asked me what I would like to happen- I said that I could arrange pick up myself and could be in today but I'd like the delivery fee refunded.

He was more than happy to oblige and is going to refund me another £10 for inconvenience caused. £10 is not much but it will pay for the petrol up there and luckily I'm off uni for two weeks so I've not had any loss of earnings etc- just an early start on my holidays.


While annoyed that things haven't gone completely smoothly, now that I've calmed down from my original lack of TV rage I can honestly say that the issue was dealt with professionally and in a friendly manner that made it difficult for me to get angry with the person I was dealing with- which is normally the case - we are all guilty of going mental at someone when it's not even their fault!

I've given them three stars because I'm undecided on how I feel about them right now.

Worst company EVER! No respect for customers. Wish I could give 0 star rating

Currys are the pits and I will never buy from them again but use Euronics or Cooperative Electricals or Argos instead. I ordered a washing machine on Saturday for Sunday delivery and got a timeslot of 3.30-7.30pm. Got a call from dontknowhow delivery guy at 7.15pm who actually laughed at me while saying it, that he would not be delivering it that day with the excuse that he had been driving for too long that day. I deal with private clients in the evenings during the week. Told him I needed it for delivery 7pm on Monday and moved a client to accommodate this and dontknowhow said that was fine. I phoned on Monday to confirm delivery and was told it was out for delivery from 7am-7pm on Tuesday even though I had told them umpteen times I worked during the day and would not be home! I cancelled my order and bought from Cooperative Electricals instead who offered a one hour delivery slot and I spoke to a polite English chap who was a delight to deal with. Never ever again will I grace that store with my hard earned cash. I have since read online a memo sent by their Board that since they have no real competition since the demise of Comet, they will not be so concerned about customer service, how professional! Bunch of monkeys to deal with and seem to take it as the norm that people complain and are dissatisified with them. No apology from them. They are a waste of space and time.

Very quick and efficient service

Ordered an new fridge freezer at lunchtime on Friday, it was delivered in the Saturday morning. The driver called to let us know when he would arrive and removed the old fridge freezer. It was impressively easy.

48 hours to review payment and then another 4 days for delivery

Seriously, the logistics and customer care at curry's is beyond belief. It takes less time to make a ship the product from the other end of the world than to wait for Currys to deliver

THE WORST ONLINE PURCHASE

I have been making purchases online on a regular basis for over 12 years, but it is safe to say that no experience has been as bad as buying a fridge from Currys. Delivery information was not passed on to the outsourced delivery company, we had to call repeatedly before someone in the call centre could be bothered to investigate further, the old fridge was not picked up (twice rescheduled) and no one gave a damn.

I will NEVER use this website again (in-store might be different) and will quite happily pay extra ££ to deal with a more competent company. Looking at many of the other reviews for this website, this is not an unusual experience.

Delivery service absolutely rubbish

Ordered a washing machine from Currys. After three failed delivery attempts I cancelled the order. First time they turned up but couldn't/wouldn't install because we had a plastic tap missing off the water valve – I was told I needed to ask my husband to go to B&Q and buy one, apparently as a woman I wasn't capable of performing such a complex DIY errand. The second and third time just didn't turn up. When I called after the third attempt to see what had happened they said they had the delivery booked for some time in May, this was the end of March.

PC WORLD WAS THE WORST COMPANY, LOOKS LIKE THEY ARE TURNING CURRYS INTO ONE AS WELL

PC WORLD HAD THE WORST CUSTOMER SERVICES & RETURNS POLICY EVER WHEREAS CURRYS WAS EXCELLENT. SINCE THEY HAVE BECOME ONE CURRYS IS GOING DOWN HILL EXTREMELY FAST AS THEY HAVE LET MOST OF PC WORLDS BAD SERVICE BECOME A PART OF THEM.
I REFUSE TO GIVE THEM ANOTHER PENNY FOR THE REST OF MY LIFE.
i NOW SHOP WITH RICHER SOUNDS WHICH IS A 40 MILE ROUND TRIP FOR ME. THEY SELL MUCH BETTER QUALITY & BRAND NAMES!!!

Shame I can't give zero stars

Absolutely horrendous service. We paid £90 to get a dishwasher installed. Delivery driver arrived, removed old dishwasher and screwed in new dishwasher so we couldn't cancel the order. He then didn't have the right parts to plumb the new one into the water supply!

Told me that I would need to source the parts and fit it myself. Assured me that the part was easily available. I went to a number of hardware stores and plumbers merchants but I could not get the part.

Called currys back who said it was no longer their problem. Took over an hour on the phone threatening legal action for them to take an interest.

Now hoping they may return to finish the job I paid them to do.

Do not trust this company.

Where's my fridge freezer.???

Ordered 14th March. Rearranged deliver twice. Still not received. Customer service is appalling. I will NEVER buy from Curry's again.

Very good customer service

At 4 March 2014 I bought a Kenwood HB724 Hand Blender set at the Currys store in Worksop. On 21 March 2014 the motor unit died while I was blending frozen fruits into a smoothie. When I returned the whole set a couple of days later, I was given the option of a free exchange of this or a similar model. However, since I already got myself a VItamix Aspire (£ 399, I know...) I asked for a full refund. After consulting his supervisor the salesrep gave me the full refund, no questions asked! Thank you, Currys!
